The Spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Naji Abu Saif was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza yesterday.

At least one Russian Geran-2 drone struck Hostomel, Kyiv Oblast last night during a massive drone attack on Kyiv and its surroundings.

A Russian Geran-2 drone struck a hospital in Krasnopillya, Sumy Oblast.

Krasnopillya is less than 10 km from the border with Russia, meaning that the hospital was likely not used for civilians.

These FPV drones were launched from Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) in the Black Sea.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces advanced south of the village of Makiivka, capturing new positions on the tactical heights.

Russian forces advanced from positions in one of the forests southwest of Makiivka, and moved to the next forests further south, taking up positions in them. They then advanced into the nearby treelines and forest plantations, with most of them being on the tactical heights, which will allow for deeper advances west of the Zherebets River.

Russian forces recently advanced in Chasiv Yar, taking up new positions in the western part of the city.

Russian forces advanced from positions near the railway station, crossing the railway tracks and entering the first houses south of the tracks. They took up positions there, before pushing further south to capture most of this section of the city. This physically cuts off one of two supply routes into the city centre, possibly putting it under an operational encirclement.

Additionally, the frontline was corrected in the city centre, with Russia confirmed to be in control of three more buildings on Radyanska street, including a post office.

Russian forces began assault operations in the southern Zabalka district of Toretsk, and have begun to push Ukrainian forces out of their positions there.

Russian forces advanced from positions near the Terykon on the southwestern approaches to the city and captured the small industrial zone in the southern part of the Zabalka district. They also pushed west through the nearby residential streets, capturing positions in the houses.

In western Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian forces conducted a series of counterattacks and have made significant advances.

South of the Vovcha River, Ukrainian forces advanced down the highway from Bahatyr, recapturing positions outside the village, before re-entering the village of Kostyantynopil, taking up a few positions in the western houses of the village.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces advanced north of the Vovcha RIver. They moved along the treeline northeast of the village of Oleksiivka, capturing a large, fortified area on the tactical heights. They also recaptured a series of treeline positions further north, also on the tactical heights.

Russian forces continued their assault operations in the Komar direction, and made small advances south of the village of Pryvilne.

Russian forces advanced up two treelines, capturing positions in them, before moving down another treeline perpendicular to them, capturing it too. These newly captured positions are on the tactical heights, meaning that Russia nearly fully controls this set of tactical heights now.

Ugandan Armed Forces reinforcements are reported moving from Uganda to the Ituri province of eastern DR Congo. This is likely to prop up the government's defences in the North Kivu Province, which have managed to stabilise the situation following an M23 offensive.

There are unconfirmed reports of a Ukrainian F-16 being shot down by a Russian S-400 air defence system over Sumy Oblast.

F-16s have been increasingly active over Sumy Oblast and even Sumy city, coming within range of Russian air defence missiles.
