From this brief skirmish,(I'll not call it a war yet), Indian students have a few lessons to take:
▪️ People who are from Electronics and communications background, need to and should go for higher studies in signal jamming and counter measures for jamming efforts. India should be able to develop its own RF modules for our drones.
▪️ People from mechanical and aerospace background should invest in flight mechanics and aerodynamics specialization and should develop cheap kamikaze UAVs which have long range and can fly low to evade radars.
▪️ People in material science should work on stealth coating that was used in SCALP missile so that it can be used in kamikaze UAVs. More people should get involved in vacuum investment casting process or single crystal turbine blades and development of light weight composites for reducing weight of artillery to ensure quick mobilization.
▪️ Development of long range artillery shell, is an absolute necessity. People should look into it from aerodynamics perspective.
▪️CSE grads should work on quantum computing, else we are doomed.

In all this, note that from northern regions, especially the state like Uttar Pradesh, with such a high population, the ratio of students joining MTech/MS/PhD is very low. That's not at all good. Southern kids are making it a norm to get a master's degree. What is stopping you?

India had signed a $5.43-billion deal with Russia to procure five S-400 air defence units in 2018. S-400s are the equipment which reportedly shot down Pakistani drones launched against multiple Indian cities.
