The Second Round of the iOS Contest 2021 starts now.
Prize fund: $52,000.
Deadline: 23:59 on March, 21 (Dubai time).
Who can participate: Everyone. You are welcome to join even if you didn't take part in the previous round.
The task is to create a standalone Telegram app for WatchOS without using third-party UI frameworks. The app should support:
- Logging in via QR Code with support for accounts protected by a 2-Step Verfication password.
- Viewing the chat list.
- Opening chats with users, groups, channels.
- Viewing messages in chats, including text messages and all types of attachments: photos, videos, files, voice and video messages, locations, contacts, static and animated stickers, polls and quizzes.
- Sending messages via voice message and text, as well as sending current location, stickers, emoji or canned text.
- Sending new messages to existing chats, by replying to notifications, and via the 'New Message' button in the chat list.
- Swiping right in the chat list to open Settings.
- Accessing the Archive and Saved Messages.
- Changing Notification settings.
- Changing Data settings.
- Terminating sessions from the Devices menu.
The design implementation should be identical to the mockups attached below (Sketch, PNG).
You are welcome to view the API docs and inspect the source code of Telegram for iOS. The main criteria for us to identify the winners will be the speed and stability of the apps – as well as attention to detail.
We understand that you may not be able to suport all the features on our list before the deadline. During evaluation we will note the number of features implemented flawlessly. The largest prizes will be awarded to contestants who implemented the largest number of features without major issues.
Note that the list of features above is sorted by their relative importance.
Prize fund: $52,000.

«VTB Capital» come uno degli agenti di collocamento per Telegram ha descritto agli investitori un'ampia gamma di valore potenziale dell’app di messaggistica - da 2,2 miliardi di dollari a 124 miliardi nel 2022. Un investitore qualificato ha confermato a VTimes di aver ricevuto una nota analitica con dati simili tramite l'app di investimento di VTB.
Per valutare l’app di messaggistica, la banca d’affari lo ha confrontato con cinque società simili nei social media e nello spazio pubblicitario online:
- Secondo i dati, confrontando il moltiplicatore EV / Vendite (il rapporto tra il valore dell'azienda e le sue vendite), la valutazione è arrivata a 2,2 miliardi di dollari;
- L'analisi del rapporto EV / DAU (rapporto tra il valore dell'azienda e il numero di utenti attivi giornalieri) che viene solitamente utilizzato per le organizzazioni IT in crescita, ha fornito il valore di 124 miliardi.
Gli esperti ritengono che la diffusione tra i metodi di valutazione in un caso particolare sia accettabile a causa della complessità della valutazione di tali società.
«VTB Capital» prevede anche che Telegram crescerà più velocemente del mercato e le entrate del servizio alla fine del 2022 potrebbero essere di circa 200 milioni di dollari. La stima è stata data sulla base del numero di utenti attivi al mese (oltre 500 milioni) e del numero di visualizzazioni di pubblicazioni al suo interno (430 miliardi), suggerendo che il progetto potrebbe diventare la base per lo sviluppo del modello di business pubblicitario e di altro modi di monetizzazione.
La data di chiusura provvisoria per le domande è il 9 marzo e il benchmark iniziale per il rendimento è del 7% (un rendimento piuttosto elevato per le obbligazioni convertibili, secondo la banca d'affari).

Telegram Beta 7.6 per Android
Stamattina all'interno del gruppo @InsideTelegramLab qualcuno aveva avuto la possibilità di vedere la disponibilità di Telegram 7.6 beta per Android.
Le novità sono tante, ma noi per il momento ci soffermiamo solo a queste:
👉🏼 Richiesta da parte di un utente per parlare all'interno di una chatvocale.
👉🏼 I canali potranno partecipare alle chatvocali.
👉🏼 Si potranno registrare le chatvocali.
Per il momento non possiamo anticipare null'altro e come detto ci soffermiamo a queste funzionalità che erano tanto attese e che in molti avevamo richiesto sin dall'implementazione delle chatvocali.
