Martyr Samir Mattut was one of the most loyal and most outspoken leaders in the early days of the resistence in Lebanon.
He was martyred on the 6th of February 1987 during an attack on an SLA-IDF base in Lebanon.
He is the first Lebanese to ever capture an IDF soldier alive.

By God, if my body was divided a thousand parts and more, and if my joints were split a thousand pieces and more, and if my organs were tore up by a thousand and more, that would have been easier for me than living and Israel remaining on our lands, remaining over the land of Abu Dhar al-Ghafari, the land of Jabal Amel, the land of martyrs, and above the second Muslim qiblah, in Jerusalem.

International criminal court judges decide the ICC prosecutor has jurisdiction to open an investigation against Israel for war crimes in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.

An army force arrested two people and seized a drug factory in the Deir Al-Ahmar, Beqaa area during raids in the village.
