⚡️ The Russian MoD’s latest statements on the Ukraine crisis:

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces have destroyed two AFU command posts, one electronic warfare station, one Tochka-U missile launcher and one Uragan multiple rocket launcher in Kharkov region using high-precision air-based missiles.

▪️ Operational-tactical, army and unmanned aviation have hit 57 areas of AFU manpower and military equipment concentration.

▪️ Russian air defence units have shot down a Ukrainian Air Force Su-25 warplane near Mazanovka, Kharkov region.

▪️ Missile troops and artillery have hit 195 areas of manpower and military equipment concentration, 34 command posts and 42 firing positions of AFU artillery units.

▪️ Missile troops and artillery have destroyed more than 200 combatants, one electronic warfare station, three ammunition depots, six tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, a Grad multiple rocket launcher, four field artillery guns, 18 special vehicles and two UAV control points in Nikolayev region.

▪️ Some 204 Ukrainian airplanes and 131 helicopters, 1,218 unmanned aerial vehicles, 340 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,569 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 526 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,968 field artillery and mortars, as well as 3,647 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the operation.

Ghislaine Maxwell faced a “credible death threat” from a fellow inmate who plotted to ‘strangle her in her sleep’, her defence lawyer has claimed.

The allegation came in a court filing aimed at lightening Maxwell’s sex trafficking sentence for procuring young women for Jeffrey Epstein.

🗣 “(One) of the female inmates in Ms Maxwell’s housing unit told at least three other inmates that she had been offered money to murder Ms Maxwell and that she planned to strangle her in her sleep,” her defence lawyer said in the filing.

The inmate allegedly claimed that "an additional 20 years incarceration would be worth the money she'd receive for murdering Ms Maxwell".

Maxwell's lawyer also argued that she should be sentenced to “well below” the 20-year imprisonment probation authorities recommended in her New York sex-trafficking case.

🗯 “We’re going to show that that pressure campaign directly contributed to the attack on the Capitol, and it put the vice president’s life in danger,” one of the panel’s aides was cited by NBC News as telling reporters on Wednesday.

▪️ They added that the Thursday hearing would focus on Trump’s pressure campaign against Pence despite being told by lawyers in the White House counsel's office that the vice president did not have the authority to unilaterally subvert the election results.
