🇺🇸🇮🇱A member of the US Secret Service Counter Assault Team was detained by Israeli police in Jerusalem, and the agent is now on his way back to the US, according to a statement by the agency. The Secret Service employee allegedly assaulted a woman outside a bar, CNN says, citing a source.

"Late Monday, the United States Secret Service was informed that an agency employee working in Israel was allegedly involved in a physical encounter. The employee was briefly detained and questioned by Israeli police, who released him without charges. The employee has returned to the United States," the Secret Service said.

Two months ago, two drunk US Secret Service agents in South Korea were involved in an off-duty incident with a cab driver.
