House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leading a Congressional delegation to the Indo-Pacific region, including visits to Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan. In a Sunday release, her office said Taiwan was not on the list.    

Earlier in July, Pelosi — who is number three in the line of presidential succession — told the media in at a conference: 'It's important for us to show support for Taiwan.' Under the 'One-China' policy, Washington does not have official diplomatic relations with Taiwan.

Last week, Chinese President Xi Jinping warned his US counterpart, Joe Biden, that Washington should abide by the 'One-China' principle. 'Those who play with fire will perish by it,' he underscored.

Farmer Mick Miners, who lives south of Jindabyne, Australia, was told by his daughters that they'd heard a loud 'bang', and amused to discover what had happened. A three-meter-long object had fallen on his property: part of a capsule from Elon Musk's SpaceX Crew-1 spacecraft, as Australian National University space expert Brad Tucker revealed.

Tucker said the fallen part of the capsule had been in space since November 2020; it was supposed to land in the ocean. If SpaceX doesn't attempt to retrieve the object, Miners can give it to a museum or sell it on eBay
