NASA Shares Stunning 'Earth Eclipse' Photo as Orion Sets Distance Record
The US space agency NASA said on Monday that Orion had reached a distance of 268,554 miles from Earth, or roughly 40,000 miles beyond the moon’s orbit.
As it neared the acme, Orion’s camera snapped a never-before-seen image of the moon eclipsing the Earth - typically, we see the opposite here on Earth, as the moon eclipses the sun in a solar eclipse or the Earth eclipses the moon in a lunar eclipse.

Washington Claims US Does Not Foresee Much Oil From Venezuela After Chevron Gets Extraction Permit
The United States does not foresee big shipments of oil from Venezuela after the US Treasury Department granted Chevron an extraction permit, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said during a press briefing.
“'l will let Chevron speak for this particular issue of sanctions relief, but our expectation is there won't be a lot of oil coming out of there. It will have to be shipped to the United States,” Kirby said on Monday. “It remains to be seen how much we'll get drilled down there. It'll be up to Chevron to decide that.”

🇮🇳🇷🇺🛢 India bought about 40% of all Russian Urals oil shipped by sea in November, ahead of other states which purchase the oil, reports cited Refinitiv and traders' data as saying.
📍 At the same time, shipments of Urals to Europe, which was previously its largest consumer, in November amounted to slightly less than a quarter.
⛽️ On December 5, the G-7 countries are planning to introduce a price cap for Russian oil; however, according to official statements, India does not plan to join this initiative. Russian President Vladimir Putin previously said that Moscow will not export oil to countries that adopt the price cap.
