☢️ Academy-Award Winning Hollywood Director Oliver Stone will present a documentary film in support of nuclear energy, ennoscriptd "Nuclear Now" at the end of April.

🎥 In the trailer released for the documentary, the filmmaker and experts whom he interviewed argue that nuclear power is the way of the future, while coal and gas sources pose a threat to the planet. The trailer argues that people should not be afraid of nuclear energy, it can save humanity.

💬 “Coal is dangerous. More people die in connection with coal in a couple of weeks than in all time in connection with nuclear energy, which was associated with only one incident in Chernobyl,” said one of the experts.

📍 The film will be shown in US theaters on April 28 and will be available later on streaming platforms.

☦️ Vladimir Legoyda, Chairman of the Department for Church's Society and Mass Mediа Relations (Russian Orthodox Church) spoke to Sputnik about the situation around the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

🗣 "Before that, for Zelensky and his circle, the situation with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was maybe not that important, or at least they wouldn't show that it was important because it was the idea of the ex-president Poroshenko, to build this new national church. But something changed last November, when this suppression and this pressure from the state became really very strong. So Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is sort of the final point because there were a lot of other monasteries and churches and priests who were arrested and so on. And I'm pretty sure that it has to do with his American consultants," Vladimir Legoyda said.

📹 In an interview with Sputnik, Vladimir Legoyda, Chairman of the Department for Church's Society and Mass Mediа Relations (Russian Orthodox Church) speaks about state-run repression in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

💬 "If you claim to be democratic, you cannot support such actions. You cannot do what you are doing now in Ukraine. There were facts and situations when priests, Ukrainian Orthodox priests, were arrested for the fact of having a postcard from Russia, like Christmas card, that it was some kind of Russian propaganda. It sounds, you know, it is absurd. It sounds funny, but it's not funny at all because people are suffering for this," says Vladimir Legoyda.

📹Vladimir Legoyda tells Sputnik if the Orthodox Church in Ukraine would be able to survive in underground conditions.

💭 "Well, we do believe that the church will survive no matter what happens. But you mentioned this, the persecution in the Soviet Union. And, you know, I was maybe quite naive to think that after what we experienced in the 20th century, I mean, our fathers and grandfathers, something like that would never happen in the contemporary world. And the fact that we're talking about those persecutions today in Ukraine, that we compare.... It's not just a metaphor when we talk about persecution, it is a fact. It is a terrible fact, and these historical parallels are real, and it is terrible," says Vladimir Legoyda.
