A drone crashed in the Russian city of Kurchatov; no one was injured and critical facilities were not damaged, the Kursk Region governor said

▪️ An aircraft-type drone that exploded near a residential building in the city Kurchatov fell a few kilometers from the Kursk NPP.

▪️ The head of Rosatom assured that all measures to ensure the safety of Russian nuclear power plants had been taken, and "the situation is under control."

▪️ Earlier, in April, a drone attack on the Kursk NPP was repelled by air defense forces.

Duma Chairman Volodin shared statistics on a "monstrous trend" as he said "there have been 50 times more gender reassignment operations in the United States over the past 10 years."

"This is the path leading to the degeneration of the nation. For us, this is unacceptable," Volodin added.

🇧🇷 The Global South is Kiev’s and NATO’s latest bet in a quest for manpower to feed the long-term war, Brazilian journalist Lucas Leiroz told Sputnik. Extensive propaganda efforts are being aimed not just at the groups sympathetic to Kiev – such as extremists, neo-Nazi networks and neo-fascist movements – but also at ordinary people who are being seduced with propaganda and promises of Ukrainian citizenship.

The US will soon provide Greece with "significant military equipment" for free, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said

The prime minister noted that Athens are aimed at having "a very strong deterrence capacity," adding that he believed Greece "has been able to achieve that at a rapid pace."

In 2019 and 2021, Washington and Athens amended the Mutual Defense Cooperation Agreement, which allowed the US to establish new military bases on the territory of Greece and expanded the term of the agreement from one to five years.

🇪🇺 Economic and finance ministers of the European Union will discuss a multiannual financial support package of 50 billion euros ($56 billion) for Ukraine during their meeting on Friday, European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis said.

The facility covers the period from 2024 to 2027, the commission's vice-president added, expressing hope that other donors will also make their contributions to provide financial help to Ukraine.

🇺🇸 The US House rejected an amendment proposed by Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene to the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would have prohibited the United States from providing cluster munitions to Ukraine.

Additionally, the House rejected amendments from other lawmakers to require the Biden administration to provide Congress with a detailed strategy for US involvement in Ukraine and end an extension of lend-lease authority to Ukraine.

There have been no new statements about Russia extending its participation in the grain deal, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik on Friday.

Earlier in the day, media reported citing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying that he allegedly agreed with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the extension of the grain deal.

"There have been no statements in this regard from the Russian side," Peskov said.

▪️The Russian Army repelled three attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Krasnoliman direction in a day. The actions of the sabotage and reconnaissance group were suppressed.

▪️The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 210 fighters and the M777 artillery system in a day in the south of DPR and Zaporozhye region;
