🇫🇮 The Finnish President calls on the West to maintain relations with Russia

"I don’t mean any great friendship, but the capability to tolerate, even understand each other a bit," Niinisto said in an interview, adding that trust will be needed after the end of the Ukraine conflict to ensure that "a new war is not waiting behind the door."

Speaking about the risks of a nuclear war, Niinisto said that countries supplying weapons to Ukraine need to take into account the possible escalation of the conflict into "a big war, that’s world war."

💬"We’re in a very sensitive situation. Even small things can change matters a great deal and unfortunately for the worse. That is the risk of such large-scale warfare. The risk that nuclear weapons could be used is tremendous," the Finnish president added.

🇮🇱 Thousands of Israelis took to the streets of Tel Aviv on Sunday for the 37th week of protests against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judicial reform, following a Supreme Court hearing against interfering with the country's fundamental laws, a Sputnik correspondent reported.

The symbol of the protest in Tel Aviv was the 1948 Israeli Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed the establishment of the country and set out the basic principles of its existence as a democratic Jewish state.

Israeli Supreme Court began reviewing petitions against a July legal reform that curtails its power to overturn government decisions, potentially leading to the first-ever Supreme Court intervention in Israel's history and a deeper constitutional crisis.

🇺🇸 The next logical step for the Biden administration to take when it comes to arming Kiev may very well be to provide its client with mini-nukes, former Central Intelligence Agency officer Ray McGovern fears.

“We’re running out of ammunition. The president says ‘Ok, let’s give the Ukrainians some more ammunition,’ and his advisors say ‘We’re too low. So what else have we got? Well we don’t have any more 155 mm shells for our howitzers and so forth but we could give them cluster munitions.’ Now we’re giving them depleted uranium shells. And what’s the next step? Well the next step would be these little mini-nukes. We’ll give ‘em that, if push comes to shove,’” McGovern said in a podcast appearance alongside Scott Ritter.

🛸 NASA has put doubt in one of the most popular so-called unidentified flying object (UFO) videos captured by the US military. The 'GOFAST' infrared video had been filmed by American Navy fighter pilots off the coast of the Atlantic back in January 2015.

New analysis “reveals a less extraordinary interpretation” of the sighting, according to an advisory report released on 14 September 14, suggesting that the 'GOFAST UFO' was “most likely” just a conventional object “drifting with the wind”.

🇺🇸 The United Auto Workers (UAW) union rejected an offer from US automaker Stellantis to increase workers' wages by 21%, union head Shawn Fain said.

💬 "We’ve asked for a 40% pay increase... because in the last four years alone the CEO pay went up 40%… It's [Stellantis’ proposal] definitely a no-go," Fain explained.

On Friday, about 13,000 workers went on strike after the UAW in the United States announced that strikes at all three plants of the US "big three" automakers, namely Ford, Stellantis and GM, had begun after negotiations failed to increase workers' wages by a deadline set late Thursday night.
