🇭🇺 Hungary will not support Ukraine's position at any international forum until Kiev returns the laws that ensure the rights of the Transcarpathian Hungarians, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated on Monday.

💬"Ukraine has been oppressing Hungarian schools for several years; they [Ukrainians] want to convert them into Ukrainian schools or, if that does not work out, close them. The Hungarian government fights at every international forum for the rights of Transcarpathian Hungarians, especially children," Orban told Hungarian lawmakers.

The prime minister added that the new Ukrainian leadership of the school in the city of Mukachevo banned singing the Hungarian anthem and wearing clothes in the Hungarian national colors in the educational institution.

🗣️ On the frosty reception Ukrainian President Zelensky received during his stop in Washington:

Well, it reflects the fact that the Biden administration has got to attempt to conceal from the population of the United States what's really happening, which is the economic situation in the United States is badUS real wages fell for three years in a row, and under conditions in which the economic situation in the US is bad for the population, he's given tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine, to which the reaction of the population will be 'Well, why the hell doesn't he spend these tens of billions of dollars on us?'… So what all the frostiness is about is that he's got to attempt to conceal what's going on, because he's very worried, because the economic situation is so bad, he's not going to be reelected,John Ross, author and economist, told Sputnik.

🇷🇺Russia's UAVs are ‘tested to ensure efficiency’ during winter's ice and low temperatures

Russia's unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), like all military equipment, are tested before being brought into service. It is during testing that a device’s characteristics are “tweaked” and certain corrections made to ensure they can work properly in the winter months, Edward Bagdasarian, a UAV specialist and head of the Aerocon business, as well as an expert on the Aeronet working group, told Sputnik.

Low temperatures and becoming covered in ice are the two main difficulties encountered by those operating UAVs in winter, Artem Blinov, a UAV expert, told Sputnik. Accordingly, any drone that runs on batteries has its operating time significantly reduced, said the expert.

🗣️ On how President Zelensky has become the dictator of Ukraine:

Today, Ukraine is going begging for money for weapons, anything it can get its hands on to fight, continue fighting and destroying Ukrainians and killing Ukrainians and Russians. So this is the situation. And the political situation is that there's a lot of Ukrainians who are afraid to speak out. Around 30-40%, I can tell you, that's for sure. But they're afraid to speak out, they're against the war. They want peace. They want to get back to their lives. And I think if they will speak up, 20% others will join who are in the middle that do want to also get back their lives,Andrii Telizhenko, former Ukrainian diplomat and whistleblower, told Sputnik.

🗣️ On the state of the US economy:

In the first six months of this year, the US consumed more capital in depreciation than it created. I mean, it's an extraordinary paradox that the world's number one capitalist country, in net terms at the present time isn't creating any capital… The situation therefore, as a result of this is the economy is going to grow very slowly. It's a pseudo-discussion in the US at the present time. They say 'Oh, it'd be a great victory if we don't have a recession, etc.,' it really doesn't make a great deal of difference whether the economy is growing very slightly positive or very slightly negative. The US is heading into extremely slow growth, and maybe there'll be a recession,John Ross, author and economist, told Sputnik.

🇪🇺🇨🇳 EU flexes muscles on ‘fair trade’ with China

The European Union's principal trade negotiator conveyed a clear message, asserting the bloc's unwavering stance in upholding balanced competition and protecting its interests.

💬“The lack of reciprocity and level playing field from China, coupled with wider geopolitical shifts, has forced the EU to become more assertive,” said Valdis Dombrovskis, an executive vice-president at the European Commission, as stated in the noscripted remarks scheduled for delivery during a keynote address at Tsinghua University.

Dombrovskis stressed that competition stands as a cornerstone of the European Union's economic landscape, serving to invigorate and advance the prowess of our corporate entities.

☠️ West uses Ukraine as settling tank for outdated and dangerous equipment

Over 2,000 pieces of equipment, including Challenger 2 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and Bulldog personnel carriers, belonging to the British Armed Forces may have asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), according to the nation's Defense Ministry.

Asbestos is a group of naturally occurring fibrous silicate minerals that are resistant to fire and corrosion. It is also an excellent thermal and electrical insulator. However, when asbestos materials become damaged, tiny fibers could get stuck in the lungs, leading to asbestosis, a scarring of the lung tissue, and mesothelioma, a type of cancer.

🇷🇺🇷🇸 A direct threat of ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Kosovo, which was practiced by Kosovo Albanian radicals in the past, can revive, Russian FM spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Monday.

Kosovar PM Albin Kurti said that on Sunday night, unidentified people opened fire on Kosovo police officers, killing one and wounding another. Later, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that several Serbs were killed and injured in the clashes with police in Kosovo and Metohija.

"There is no doubt that yesterday’s bloodshed is a direct and immediate consequence of the course taken by the so-called Prime Minister A. Kurti to incite the conflict and clear the territory of the region from the Serbs. His attempts to create additional Western pressure on the Serbian leadership by escalating the situation bring the entire Balkan region to a dangerous brink," Zakharova said.

The Kosovo police "have discredited themselves" due to systemic violence against local Serbs, Zakharova added.

🇩🇪 Bundeswehr bungles billion euros on radios that can’t be installed in army vehicles

The digital radios, produced by German technology manufacturer Rohde & Schwarz, are supposed to replace the Bundeswehr’s older analogue sets. But the new equipment is reportedly proving difficult to mount on the military’s many different types of vehicles, and adjustments are necessary for the more than one hundred different vehicle types.

These issues have prompted the defense ministry, wary of voiding the manufacturer’s warranty by installing the equipment themselves, to wait for official support from the defense industry, thus leaving already delivered equipment on warehouse shelves. The radio procurement campaign is ultimately expected to cost Germany up to €5 billion.

🇺🇸🔎 US reconnaissance flights near Crimea tripled since start of year

During the week of September 18-24, US reconnaissance aircraft and strategic drones, as well as the "scouts" of their NATO allies, flew 21 flights near Crimea, according to data from the portal Flightradar24.

In particular, American P-8A Poseidon and EP-3E Aries II, British RC-135W Rivet Joint and Luxembourg-based E-3A Sentry aircraft flew over the eastern coast of Romania. US RQ-4B Global Hawk strategic reconnaissance aircraft flew over the central and eastern Black Sea. Most of the sorties - 16 out of 21 - were flown by US aircraft.

One day before the September 22 Ukrainian cruise missile attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters, the activity of reconnaissance flights by the US and its allies increased to six flights a day. Thus, there is a connection between the intensity of the Western reconnaissance flights and the intensity of Ukrainian attacks on the Crimea.

💥 Nord Stream pipeline attack one year later: West seeks to shift blame onto Ukraine

Explosions hit the Nord Stream pipelines, built to deliver gas under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany, on September 26, 2022. The attack remains clouded in mystery one year later: Denmark, Germany and Norway have left Russia out of their investigations into the attack, prompting Moscow to launch its own investigation with charges of international terrorism. Media reports offered different explanations for what really happened.

Pulitzer Prize-winning US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh’s take:

▪️The terrorist attack was carried out by US Navy divers with the help of Norwegian operatives
▪️The explosives were planted during the NATO BALTOPS 22 exercises in June 2022
▪️Joe Biden personally made the decision about the terrorist attacks following more than nine months of secret discussions with his national security team

Western media’s official theory:

▪️The attack was carried out by Ukrainian swimmers who had rented a yacht
▪️The operation was financed by a "private sponsor" from Ukraine
▪️The US was not aware about the preparation and carrying out of the terrorist attack

Which one sounds more convincing to you?
