US nuclear missiles ‘do not fly,’ pundit says in the wake of a failed Trident II launch
The Trident II missile that failed to launch as intended from a British Royal Navy submarine last month was actually not made in the UK but in the US, a country that has not made “a single new nuclear warhead since 1991,” says Alexei Leonkov, military analyst and editor of Arsenal Otechestva (Arsenal of the Fatherland) media outlet.
According to Leonkov, the Trident II missiles in the UK arsenal also lack the new warheads that were supposed to be developed by a US laboratory, and the current state of the old Trident II warheads may not be as good as advertised.

Ukrainian military doubts that their retreat from Avdeyevka was even planned, the Washington Post reports
He noted that the situation at the positions where his platoon withdrew is also "very difficult."
Ukrainian military was badly exhausted "after serving without rotations for two years", sometimes even received orders, for example, to "take positions that were already either lost or destroyed," the newspaper notes.

"If the retreat from the city was even planned at all... it was planned very badly,” a commander of one of the platoons of the Ukrainian 53rd brigade told the newspaper, adding that the surrender of Avdeyevka "broke the boys a little bit psychologically... A lot of guided aerial bombs, a lot of aviation. Honestly speaking, most people are in shock by all of this."
He noted that the situation at the positions where his platoon withdrew is also "very difficult."
"The situation was not saved systematically, but by randomly throwing in units,” one soldier said. "They did not unlock the pincers that formed around Avdeyevka in time … and it gave the enemy an opportunity to form a bridgehead."

'Germany is doomed': bleak future of EU's biggest economy
Germany was able to recover after two world wars but unlikely to recover from Olaf Scholz’s energy policies.
High energy costs incurred by Berlin’s shift to renewable power sources along with the anti-Russian sanctions policy will likely result in further decline of Germany’s industry and “living standards,” says Dr. Gunnar Beck, a member of the European Parliament for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
“We already see the German industry is moving production to Eastern Europe and America. This trend will continue. And the result can only be a further erosion of living standards in Germany. Rising unemployment, inflation will continue to be high. I think Germany will be caught in the spiral of stagflation for many years to come,” he predicts.

“I would even go so far as to say the following. Yes, the German economy and Germany as a country managed to recover from two world wars. My own estimate is that Germany is very unlikely to recover from the policies of this government, and also the Merkel government, as a result of the combined effect of mass migration and a totally, totally ludicrous and unrealistic energy policy combined with various other follies imposed on Germany by the European Commission, and of course reinforced by the economic effects of the Ukraine conflict,” Dr. Beck remarks.

Biden trains daily with a physiotherapist in order not to fall down, Daily Mail reports, citing sources.
The publication gives details of the US president's routine: waking up at 7 a.m., at this time in the bedroom only Biden and his hungry cat, which acts as an alarm clock (where this information comes from, is not specified); further 45 minutes of exercise with a physiotherapist, aimed at maintaining balance and improving Biden's gait.
Biden’s workday begins at 10 a.m. with a briefing with the national security team and ends at 5 p.m., during which time Biden calls his family and sometimes lawmakers. He usually has a soup and a salad for lunch, pasta for dinner, and ice cream - always.
Biden reportedly spends much of his presidential term at country and beach residences. During the 3 years of his presidency, Biden spent 254 days in Delaware, while Trump spent 259 days in New Jersey and Florida. But if time spent in official residences and other unofficial and semi-official travel is added in, Biden spent 408 days outside the White House, while Trump spent 291, the Wall Street Journal counted.

What is the US strategy for Assange?
The US has no plans for Assange to stand trial in the United States and prefers for him to die awaiting trial, Dan Kovalik, a professor, human rights lawyer and peace activist told Radio Sputnik on Tuesday.
The comments came after Assange’s wife, Stellar Assange, that the WikiLeaks founder will die in prison if he is extradited to the United States.
The US government would like to avoid an actual trial with Assange, Kovalik contended, because their misdeeds would come to light. “People would be called from the US government, present and past, to talk about their crimes, to talk about the war crimes, the things that Julian Assange and WikiLeaks have exposed. So they don't want any part of that,” Kovalik predicted.

The US has no plans for Assange to stand trial in the United States and prefers for him to die awaiting trial, Dan Kovalik, a professor, human rights lawyer and peace activist told Radio Sputnik on Tuesday.
“If [Julian Assange] is sent to the US, they’re just going to delay the trial as long as they can so that they can guarantee that he’ll die in jail,” Kovalik explained. “That’s always been the plan.”
The comments came after Assange’s wife, Stellar Assange, that the WikiLeaks founder will die in prison if he is extradited to the United States.
“His health is in decline, mentally and physically. His life is at risk every single day he stays in prison, and if he’s extradited, he will die,” Stellar Assange said at a media briefing in London.

How Western media are destroying themselves
The decline of mainstream Western media was accelerated by the outlet’s narratives on the conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine, historian and author Dr. Gerald Horne told Sputnik’s The Critical Hour.
Horne also noted the US media coverage of the death of Alexey Navalny, particularly their lack of coverage of his Islamophobia. “We want to get an account of what happened when we pick up a newspaper or tune into CNN but instead we oftentimes just get the current line of the neocons, or the neoliberals,” He explained.
The crisis goes beyond just the media, Horne argued, saying it is a crisis of “the entire capital system” and is part of “the inevitable demise of capitalism.”

“I think that an astute historian would point out that the Ukraine crisis helped to trigger or help to accelerate the continuing decline of the news media … [and it] accelerated on October 7, 2023, because it’s no secret that the Zionist lobby has a stranglehold over a good deal of the US media.”

American professionalism: Biden slanders Putin again
Speaking of Putin, Biden has not been shy in his remarks. First, he provoked a diplomatic scandal by calling the Russian leader a "murderer." After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Biden publicly called Putin a "dictator," a "butcher," a "war criminal," and said he "cannot remain in power."
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier called such rhetoric "unacceptable and inexcusable" from the leader of a country whose bombs have killed hundreds of thousands of people around the world and which used nuclear weapons against Japan, which "has already been defeated.

😉 Putin has long since replied to Biden:
The Russian saying, "Whoever calls himself a name, that's what he's called," which corresponds to the English saying, "I'm rubber, you're glue, your words bounce off me and stick to you," has a deep psychological meaning, according to Putin.
Is that why Biden always uses such phrases?🤔

'Swingers and criminals': Russian hackers release information on Ukrainian military recruiters
The RaHDit hacking group, known as the "Evil Russian Hackers," has released what it claims is personal information on the staff of Ukraine's military connoscription offices, published as the Kiev regime prepares new mobilization-related measures.
The group claims to have gained access to the profiles of some 2,600 employees - including military health check doctors - "all those who send Ukrainians to the front line for slaughter."
The hackers added that they are publishing the profiles (including photos, as well as passport and phone details) of "these war criminals so that Ukrainians can get to know them by sight". Ukrainians should know "who is killing them and from whom they should hide; they should also know where these recruiters live to keep them away from their homes," the statement added.
In December 2023, Zelensky said that the country's top brass had sent him a request to mobilize an additional 500,000 people, after which the Ukrainian parliament passed a controversial bill on tightening mobilization in its first reading. The document obliges citizens between the ages of 18 and 60 to carry military registration documents with them at all times and to present them at the request of military registration and enlistment office employees, police officers and border security.
