Key statements by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at his latest briefing:
▪️ Commenting on the upcoming conference on Ukraine in Switzerland in June, Peskov said that without Russia's participation the negotiations would be meaningless. On the whole, however, Moscow is open to negotiations, he said.
▪️ Peskov on Zelensky's plans for a new counteroffensive and the destruction of the Crimean bridge: The Kiev regime is openly talking about its aggressive plans, terrorist plans against Russia's infrastructure, once again demonstrating its nature.
▪️ There have been no appeals to Russia for help in resolving the situation between Iran and Israel.
▪️ Russia calls on the countries of the Middle East region to exercise restraint in order not to lead to a complete destabilization of the situation.

Media claims Iran has enough enriched uranium for three nuclear bombs
According to the article, making a crude nuclear device could take six months, while building a nuclear warhead that could be delivered by a missile would take two years or more.
The report estimates that Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium is enough to produce three nuclear bombs.
Iran has not yet commented on the report. However, Tehran has repeatedly rejected all US accusations and defended its right to the peaceful development of its nuclear program.
Earlier, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, said that Iran had reduced the rate of enriched uranium production in an apparent move to de-escalate tensions with the US.

"Iran now has a supply of highly enriched uranium that could be converted to weapons-grade fuel for at least three bombs in a time frame ranging from a few days to a few weeks," the Washington Post reported, citing officials.
According to the article, making a crude nuclear device could take six months, while building a nuclear warhead that could be delivered by a missile would take two years or more.
"Fordow’s machines are making highly enriched uranium at a faster rate than ever before, and the country’s combined stocks of uranium fuel continue to increase," the publication wrote, commenting on the progress of Iran's nuclear program.

YARS: A nuclear missile that makes threatening Russia’s existence a very bad idea
The Yadernaya Raketa Sderzhivaniya (Nuclear Deterrrence Missile), or YARS for short, is one of Russia’s most advanced intercontinental ballistic missiles that essentially makes any attempt to threaten Russia’s existence a suicide mission.
Not only are YARS mobile launcher platforms a very difficult and elusive target for a potential preemptive strike, each missile can penetrate even the most advanced defense systems thanks to a combination of stealth capabilities and onboard countermeasures. Each YARS carries several multiple independently targetable warheads (MIRV), which essentially means that any target they hit would be turned into a radioactive inferno in a flash.

Israel-Iran tensions: latest updates
Recent escalation of tensions in the Middle East following a deadly Israeli strike on the Iranian Embassy in Syria in early April shows no signs of abating.
What’s known so far?
🔸 The US and its allies expect an “imminent missile strike” from Iran on Israel in the coming days, Bloomberg reports, citing sources familiar with the intelligence.
🔸 Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned: “The evil Zionist regime made a mistake and must be punished and will be punished”.
🔸 “If Iran attacks from its territory, Israel will respond and attack Iran,” Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz wrote on X in response.
🔸 “Our commitment to Israel’s security against these threats from Iran and its proxies is ironclad. We will do all we can to protect Israel’s security,” US President Joe Biden said.
🔸 All missiles built in Iran in the past 12 years do not use any international positioning systems, including the GPS, the Iranian news agency Fars has reported, citing a source in the aerospace forces of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The source commented on reports of GPS jamming in Israel in light of Tehran’s possible strike.
🔸 Russia urges Middle Eastern countries to exercise restraint to avoid "full destabilization of the situation in the region," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
🔸 Russia’s Foreign Ministry has “strongly recommended that Russian citizens refrain from traveling to the Middle East region, including Israel".
🔸 Germany’s Lufthansa has suspended flights to and from Tehran from April 6 until probably April 11, “due to the current situation in the Middle East”.

Is the American Library Association turning blind eye to books whitewashing Ukrainian Nazi collaboration?
The American Library Association (ALA) recently gave kudos to two authors with a track record of whitewashing Nazi collaborators in Ukraine, journalist Lev Golovkin has written in an article for the US news outlet The Nation.
According to the author, the ALA, the world’s largest non-profit library organization, honored the books edited by Volodymyr Viatrovych – now a Ukrainian MP, and Lubomyr Luciuk, who currently serves as a professor in Canada’s elite military college.
The author recalled that Viatrovych is notoriously known for calling soldiers from an SS division “war victims,” while Luciuk once demanded that the Canadian parliament apologize for calling a former member of SS a Nazi.
What’s more, it was Luciuk who added significantly to glorifying the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and its offshoot, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), which were to blame for exterminating tens of thousands of Jews during World War II.

American military industrial complex heats up arms race in Asia
US President Joe Biden is hosting the leaders of Japan and the Philippines at a White House summit aimed at creating a new anti-China coalition. While the world is distracted with Ukraine and Gaza, the US is quietly moving to spark an arms race in Asia. Here's how:
🇯🇵 Japan just received from US a pledge to boost its military capabilities with 70 new military, intelligence, and R&D agreements. In recent times, US has sold Japan F-35 fighter-jets, Tomahawks, and will soon develop Pillar II capabilities with Japan under the AUKUS umbrella.
🇦🇺 Australia is on track to receive nuclear-powered submarines, double its warship fleet, and procure 11 frigates and 29 Apache attack helicopters. It will also enhance its long-range strike capabilities and long-range anti-ship missiles.
🇹🇼 Taiwan will spend up to $8 billion to upgrade its long-range missiles, and purchase US coastal defense systems, sensors, artillery, sophisticated aerial drones, and howitzer systems.
🇰🇷 South Korea has recently placed an order for 20 F-35 fighter jets from the US. Seoul is America’s largest arms customer in Asia.
🇸🇬 Singapore has ramped up its military expenditure to 3% of GDP, much of which will go towards purchasing US systems such as the F-35
