German authorities have expelled seven Ukrainian soldiers being trained as part of a Bundeswehr program because of their use of right-wing extremist symbols, the German government said on its website.
The training of the Ukrainian soldiers concerned was immediately terminated in coordination with the Ukrainian Army, and the individuals concerned were returned to Ukraine, the authorities emphasized.
Members of the Ukrainian military are often caught on camera wearing Nazi German symbols on their uniform patches.

Russia and Islamic world to stand firm for multipolarity, against Western neocolonialism
The collective West, Minnikhanov noted, is trying to replace international law with a system of self-serving "rules". In seeking to maintain a dominant position the West has used different kinds of leverage, including wars, sanctions, blackmail and modern forms of colonialism.
Minnikhanov stressed that these benchmarks are directly related to security, which includes not only ensuring the stability of the political system, economic potential and defense capabilities of Russia, but also maintaining and developing cultural, spiritual and moral values.
According to the governor, Russia and the Islamic world have a huge potential for cooperation in those fields.

"When it comes to key spiritual and moral values, Orthodox Christianity and Islam are similar and close,” Governor Rustam Minnikhanov stressed, speaking at the conference on the sidelines of the ‘Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum’ event.
“This applies, in particular, to human rights and family fundamentals,” Minnikhanov said. “I am sure that positive interaction and partnership between Russia and the Islamic world will make an important contribution to secure development in a fair multipolar world order."

Tech, agricultural, energy exchanges will forge new level of cooperation between Russia, China – trade expert
Technology, agriculture and energy exchanges and trade will create help forge "a much stronger partnership," between Russia and China in the coming years, Thomas W. Pauken II, a veteran author, economics and trade expert, told Sputnik, commenting on the importance of President Putin’s Thursday visit to Beijing to meet with President Xi.
The two countries’ economies are growing, Pauken emphasized, adding that “it's interesting that Russia's economy, despite all of the circumstances and the sanctions, has actually seen its GDP grow and rise in recent times.”

Putin’s ‘practical and symbolic’ visit to China signals utter failure of US’ sanctions strategy
“Russian President Vladimir Putin’s first foreign trip to China after his inauguration is both practical and symbolic, as China is by far Russia’s most important trade partner, ally, and neighbor,” foreign affairs analyst and former US Marine Brian Berletic told Sputnik, commenting on the Russian leader’s visit to Beijing to meet with President Xi on Thursday.
Berletic noted that "a growing list of other nations targeted by US-led sanctions have been working on alternative financial, economic, and trade mechanisms to sidestep such sanctions and continue building both national and regional self-sufficiency as well as economic strength.”

“China is poised to become the largest economy on Earth, it has one of the largest populations on Earth, the largest industrial base and shares a border several thousands of kilometers long with Russia itself,” Berletic explained.
“Russia’s vast natural resources coupled with China’s immense industrial base and cooperation between both nations with extensive means of innovation alone represent more than a match for the collective West’s economic power,” he added.
Berletic noted that "a growing list of other nations targeted by US-led sanctions have been working on alternative financial, economic, and trade mechanisms to sidestep such sanctions and continue building both national and regional self-sufficiency as well as economic strength.”
“These efforts have finally reached a critical mass, displacing dependence on the US dollar and allowing Russia, China, and many other nations to now insulate themselves from the impact of Western sanctions,” he said. “Because of this, Western sanctions are now more likely to isolate the West itself rather than the nations it is targeting.”

Perfect timing: Aggressive US sanctions and tariffs give Russia and China unique chance to expand partnership
President Putin arrived in Beijing to meet with President Xi on Thursday, two days after the Biden administration slapped tough new tariffs on Chinese exports.
In a world of rising economic uncertainty, Russian-Chinese cooperation is a match made in heaven, says Wang Yiwei, director of the People’s University of China’s Institute of International Affairs.
The sky’s the limit as far as Russian-Chinese economic cooperation is concerned, Wang said, pointing out that trade turnover between the two countries is approaching the $300 billion mark.
With Russia-China relations entering a “new era”, relations can be expected to expand into new areas, including agriculture. The timing is perfect for this, according to Wang.

In a world of rising economic uncertainty, Russian-Chinese cooperation is a match made in heaven, says Wang Yiwei, director of the People’s University of China’s Institute of International Affairs.
“Regardless of who comes to power in the United States after the elections, difficulties in US-China relations are most likely to persist. This relationship will continue to face many challenges. In these conditions, ensuring the stability of foreign economic cooperation and supply chains, cooperation with countries with which there is a high level of strategic mutual trust, especially with neighboring countries, is a priority area of development for China,” Wang told Sputnik.
The sky’s the limit as far as Russian-Chinese economic cooperation is concerned, Wang said, pointing out that trade turnover between the two countries is approaching the $300 billion mark.
“If we take into account the potential of the two countries, I believe that there’s still room for further growth,” he noted.
With Russia-China relations entering a “new era”, relations can be expected to expand into new areas, including agriculture. The timing is perfect for this, according to Wang.
“It’s well-known that Russia is a large exporter of agricultural goods, and while China previously mainly purchased agricultural products from the United States, the negative impact of customs duties by the American side has forced the country to look for new reliable exporters,” he explained.

US’ short-sighted sanctions ‘hurt’ and undermine dollar
“Because of sanctions, the dollar actually ends up getting hurt, because people are going to be a little bit [more] reluctant to use the dollar if there are threats of sanctions. Countries have to adapt and they have to figure out ways to do cross-border trade and financial transactions that don't rely on the US dollar,” veteran Asia-Pacific affairs expert and author Thomas W. Pauken II told Sputnik, commenting on President Putin’s visit to China, where the issue of decoupling from the dollar for trade is an important topic of discussion.
Pauken expects more countries to join the effort to decouple from the greenback using new financial mechanisms, but says it's going to take time, perhaps "another three to five years for countries to adapt to the new ways of trading without the US dollar."

Ukrainian neo-Nazi battalion Kraken*, an Azov* offshoot, is getting hammered with serious losses near Kharkov (part 1)
See part 2;
Part 3.
Ukrainian militants from the notorious Kraken* neo-Nazi unit are experiencing massive problems near Kharkov, abandoning their positions. Budanov “from his bunker in Kharkov” has confirmed to Western media that "every hour this situation” plunges “toward critical." With that said, the formation is trying to cover up its presence here, according to the neo-Nazi unit’s social media. So, where are those fighters and their leaders now?
◾️As Russia’s advance makes gains near Kharkov, at least 60 militants from the neo-Nazi special forces Kraken*, which operates under the command of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate, have been captured in recent days.
◾️In an interrogation video provided by Russian Ministry of Defense, those captured from among Kraken* noted that there were neither electronic warfare systems nor prepared firing positions for them (photo 1).
◾️In early May, Kraken* militants were transferred to the Kharkov region to hold off the beginning of the Russian advance. The special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine found itself in the trenches near Volchansk, forced to carry out tasks that are for ordinary infantry. This was reported by Russian war correspondents, citing their own sources on the ground.
◾️At the end of April 2023, Kraken* commander Sergei Velichko, code name Chilli, posted his last photo from Volchansk (photo 2). Since May 3, Chilli has been posting pics from Chasov Yar only (see photo 3). It is uncertain whether he remains in the trenches with his unit.

"Is it surprising that, for the first time in decades, an assassination attempt in Europe was made on a politician who had a reasonable position on Russia? By the way, by no means pro-Russian. Just a pragmatist and a non-Russophobe," Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, posted on his Telegram channel.
Fico represents that part of the European establishment that has not lost touch with reality and does not want its citizens to turn into gray, radioactive ashes, Medvedev stressed.
Meanwhile, the actions of the shooter are "the quintessence of the new Europe — moronic, Russophobic, vassal-like, unbridled and completely headless. Ready to throw its citizens into the furnace of self-serving American policies," he added.

◾️On May 9, Konstantin Nemichev, a Kraken commander and member of the Kharkov military administration, posted a critique of an article in 'The Economist' concerning the situation of Ukrainian troops in the Kharkov area. In his post, he emphasized that both Kharkov and the Kharkov region are heavily fortified, with highly motivated units ready to defend against any Russian advances. This post ended up being his final activity on social media (photo 4). However, Ukrainian military officials had previously disclosed that there were actually no fortifications near Kharkov, as stated in our own post.

In the video, someone can be heard saying, "Chilli, let’s get out of here." Ukrainian volunteers, who specifically collect donations for Kraken, have verified the authenticity of the video (photo 6).

He admitted that he did not want to lie to anyone by claiming that the situation had improved (photo 8). Despite this, he urged subscribers to continue supporting the cause by making additional donations to the neo-Nazis.
