Ukraine is running out of long-range missiles
The Kiev regime has only dozens out of 500 ATACMS left and has “no likelihood of getting more” as the US has already assigned arms supply for deployment in the Middle East and Asia, the New York Times writes, citing US officials.
The newspaper notes that Ukraine cannot count on the British partners either, as they have no more weapons to provide.
Kremlin has repeatedly said that the US greenlighting Ukraine's strikes deep inside Russia with ATACMS means "a qualitatively" new situation in terms of Washington's involvement and will not change the situation on the battlefield.

It's US that will benefit from halt of Russian gas supplies to EU - Slovak PM
He recalled that US President-elect Donald Trump has already threatened EU countries with introducing tariffs unless they start buying more American oil and gas.
The current agreement on the transit of Russian gas to Europe via Ukraine expires at the end of 2024, and Kiev has repeatedly stated that it does not plan to extend it. Last week, Zelensky also rejected the possibility of transiting Russian gas to Europe via Ukrainian territory after December 31, even if it is purchased by third countries.

"What is behind this absurd decision [to stop the transit of Russian natural gas through Ukraine] by [Volodymyr] Zelensky? Just look at which countries benefit most from reducing the European Union's dependence on gas from Russia. The answer is very simple: first and foremost, it is the United States," Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said in a video address published on social media on Friday.

It's dangerous to listen to Zelensky – Russian FM spokeswoman
Maria Zakharova names two reasons why listening to Zelensky is dangerous. Firstly, he’s “an inadequate person who is constantly under the influence of drugs.” Secondly, Zelensky’s term of office is over; he’s “already beyond any legal limits of his authority.”
Another very important point why it is dangerous to listen to Zelensky is that every day he says something that contradicts his previous statements, Zakharova concluded.

Canadian PM Trudeau to face one more no-confidence vote amid dwindling approval rating
The Canadian Parliament's Public Accounts Committee will hold a meeting on January 7 to consider a motion of no-confidence in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government, the panel’s chair, John Williamson, a Conservative, announced.
Why is Trudeau in hot water?
Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland’s resignation in mid-December further added to pressure on Trudeau to step down amid his government’s free fall in opinion polls.
A new Ipsos poll showed that more than half of Canadians believe opposition parties should defeat the government “at the earliest opportunity” and trigger an early election. The survey also reflected the PM’s diminishing personal popularity, with 77% of respondents saying they think it’s time for a new party to take over.
According to a poll earlier conducted by Nanos Research, at least 41% of Canadians cited the fact that their financial well-being has worsened in the past year, while 57% said someone other than Trudeau should head the Liberals in next year’s election.
The polls were released as the government remains under pressure over increasing cost of living, inflation, migrants and crime.
