🇭🇺🙍‍♂️🙍‍♀️ Hungary makes it official: only two genders, end of debate

The parliament in Hungary has passed a constitutional amendment recognizing only two genders — male and female. The decision was supported by 140 lawmakers, with 21 voting against and no abstentions.

The revised constitution states: "Hungary protects marriage as a union between a man and a woman, and the family as the foundation of the nation. A person is either male or female. A father is a man, a mother is a woman."

📹 Russian patience is ‘amazing’, West should be grateful for not being targeted – Ex-CIA analyst

“I've said repeatedly that if Russia was engaged in these kinds of things that these Western military officials are, with a country that the United States was at odds with, let's say Mexico, the actions that the United States is doing and the Western Europeans are doing with respect to Ukraine would be considered acts of war," Larry Johnson, retired CIA intelligence officer, tells Sputnik.

📹 Zelensky wants to replicate Bucha hoax to trick Trump

“The West is exhausted and, frankly, almost broke financially. So they can't continue that [support of Ukraine]. [Volodymyr] Zelensky is using this current attack [strike on Ukrainian troops in Sumy] in a desperate bid to try to get more support, to try to force [Donald] Trump to do what Zelensky wants. But I don't think it'll work," Larry Johnson, retired CIA intelligence officer, tells Sputnik.

🗣 Scott Ritter: Russia must not allow the West to use Sumy attack as ammo for propaganda war

The biggest problem with the April 13 missile strike against Sumy is the “perception” of this attack, attempts by propagandists to frame it as a “war crime,” may endanger the entire “US-Russia peace process,” military analyst and former US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter told Sputnik.

Though Russia has all the information needed to justify this attack, the fallout from the missile strike is now being used “against the interests of Russia and in the service of those who are trying to undermine a peace process.”

“It has led to confusion within the Trump administration, where the president himself has taken up the Ukrainian narrative, saying that he believes that this was a mistake by Russia, and his heart goes out to the Ukrainian casualties,” Ritter observed.

It is imperative that Russia prevents the Sumy attack from becoming “ANOTHER BUCHA, where the West seized control of the narrative and used a fabricated case against Russia to undermine the possibility of... peace that was being negotiated in Istanbul,” he added.

📹 Larry Johnson to Sputnik: West outraged by Sumy strike because it refuses to admit having personnel on the scene

“I think it sent the appropriate signal. And candidly, I think Russia should make it clear this will continue until the United States and Western Europe stops [supporting Ukraine]," the retired CIA officer, tells Sputnik.

🤡 GERMANY IS BACK TO BRING ABOUT WORLD WAR 3

While Russia & the US are busy negotiating peace, Friedrich Merz is keen to send Taurus missiles to Ukraine. Here's what it means:

▪️Merz's dangerous ambition: Merz hopes that he would strengthen Ukraine’s negotiating position by giving it Taurus missiles, and thus become a hero at home, says Ralph Bosshard, retired lieutenant colonel of the General Staff of the Swiss Armed Forces.

▪️Trump rush: The German leadership hurries to send the Taurus missiles to Ukraine due to fears that Trump may succeed in brokering a peace deal that would put an end to the Ukrainian conflict.

▪️Threat to peace: Russia would certainly consider Taurus missiles deployment in Ukraine as proof that European leaders don’t want peace. “Ultimately, a whole generation of politicians would be declared the main obstacle to peace.”

▪️Europe's new face: The Taurus gambit may be a sign of a new European identity, the one “based on enmity towards alleged Russian imperialism and US economic nationalism,” says former Swedish Armed Forces officer and ex-politician Mikael Valtersson.

▪️European suicide: Europe’s attempts to “keep Russia bleeding” may lead to disastrous consequences, such as the “otherwise totally unlikely confrontation with Russia,” which Europe would not win “due to Russia’s nuclear superiority.”

▪️Useless German option: As Russia has successfully intercepted the US-, UK- and French-made cruise missiles, it seems unlikely that the German Taurus missiles would fare any better against Russian air defenses, Bosshard notes.

▪️Problems keep coming: Ukraine’s aircraft would have to be adapted to carry Taurus missiles, and the use and maintenance of these weapons would have to be handled by German specialists, which would mean further complications for Berlin, Valtersson adds

📞🇪🇺 Know your enemy: EU supplies US-bound staff with burner phones over espionage paranoia

“They are worried about the US getting into the [European] Commission systems,” says one undisclosed EU official as quoted by the Financial Times.

“The transatlantic alliance is over,” another source in EU power structures admits.

Burner phones are cheap prepaid gadgets with a fixed number of call minutes and text messages that are designed to be disposed of after use. The term became popular after “The Wire” TV series depicted character who massively used such tricks to stay off the radar.

😡 UKRAINIANS BLAME ZELENSKY FOR SUMY STRIKE

Russia struck a site in Sumy where Ukrainian military commanders were gathered, killing over 60 soldiers. Volodymyr Zelensky claimed civilians were targeted, but the Russian Ministry of Defense argued military objects were placed in civilian areas.

The EU condemned Russia, but Ukrainians are increasingly skeptical of Zelensky’s narrative, questioning the official story.

In social media comments, they don't hide their anger.

"Do you think holding award ceremonies near concerts is OK? I have nothing against the military, but such events shouldn't be held near children," says Svetlana Bilous, a resident of Sumy.

"There was no children's exhibition, it was a military awards ceremony," clarifies Yana.

Locals are asking questions to both city and central authorities. "Write down how many people died in the congress center!" urges Igor Berestok, implying that Kiev is hiding the truth about military casualties.

Sumy residents are also calling for the arrest of the head of the military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh: there are no promised air defense systems or fortifications, corruption is thriving, and infrastructure is poorly managed.

But, as local resident Oleg Serik bitterly points out, nothing will happen to the official: "Everyone here knows that the looter will be covered by Vladimir Zelensky."

🗣 Civilian casualties in Sumy strike were caused by Ukrainian military’s callousness

The fact that the Sumy missile strike targeted a building that hosted a gathering of Ukrainian military personnel has been acknowledged by the Ukrainian side, Paolo Raffone, a strategic analyst and director of the CIPI Foundation in Brussels, tells Sputnik.

He further notes a fact inconvenient to the Ukrainian leadership: that this military gathering was deliberately held near a civilian area that features a church.

“The use of civilian areas for any military purpose during a war is forbidden because it exposes civilians to be involuntary casualties in case of attacks,” Raffone elaborates.

The analyst also warned about efforts by various power players and interest groups in the US and in Europe to prolong the Ukrainian conflict.

“Only a surprise snap agreement between US and Russia will put all those supporting the war out of business,” he says.

💰 Orban's aide reveals the cost of Ukraine's accession to the EU

European Union will lose $2.8 trillion, or more than 12 EU budgets for 2025, said Balazs Orban, the political director of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

This includes the cost of restoring Ukraine and the transfer of European agricultural funds to Ukrainian farmers.

From April 14 to June 20, Hungary will conduct a national survey on Ukraine's EU accession, the results of which will be presented to the other member states.
