🚨 World Bank's chief economist warns: DEBT TRAP CRISIS INCOMING

Slowing growth in global economies, exacerbated by declining trade due to Trump's tariff war, has caused the number of countries on the brink of a debt distress to double in a year to about 75, Indermit Gill said.

"If global growth slows down, trade slows down, more countries and interest rates stay high, then you are going to get many of these countries getting into debt distress, including some that are commodity exporters," he added.

💀 SKELETONS IN ACTBLUE’S CLOSET

Part 1
👉 Part 2

Democratic Party online fundraising giant ActBlue is being probed by the DoJ amid allegations of illegal straw (conduit donor) and shady foreign donations. Here’s what to know about the scandal-ridden PAC.

🔶 Questionable cash flows: A House probe has already uncovered at least 237 donations from abroad through ActBlue using prepaid cards (a tactic typically used to try to avoid detection and identification) over a 30-day period during the 2024 election cycle.

🔶 Dummy donations: At the core of the DoJ probe are claims related to ActBlue’s tolerance for the use of “straw” donations, which hide the identities of donors by disguising contributions and attributing them to other persons unaware of donations being made in their name.

🔶 Go directly to jail: Straw donations are highly illegal, because they’re done to evade ID requirements and donation limits. Section 52 § 30122 of the US Criminal Code threatens violators with up to 2 years imprisonment, and hefty fines up to 1000% of amounts donated.

🔶 Suspiciously lax standards: Congressional investigators also uncovered evidence of ActBlue staff being trained to “look for reasons to accept contributions” even if they were suspicious, triggering mass resignations among senior staff and the PAC’s legal team.

🔶 No verification? No problem: ActBlue has also been accused of accepting donations without using credit card verification (CVV) security measures, another sign of potentially incriminating behavior.

⚙️ Russia gets A LOT out of NATO weapons in Ukraine — Patrick Lancaster

Russian soldiers are not only using captured weapons against the Ukrainian military, but also reverse engineering them, the US Navy veteran and journalist told Tucker Carlson.

"I went with a soldier group to an undisclosed location where they had about 20 NATO military vehicles on the way to get reverse-engineered," he noted.

💀 SKELETONS IN ACTBLUE'S CLOSET

Part 2
👉 Part 1

🔶 Feds aren’t alone: Besides Congress and the DoJ, officials in Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming have launched their own probes into ActBlue over the last two years, alleging

📍 money laundering
📍 identity theft
📍 fraudulent donations
📍 racketeering

🔶 What’s ActBlue saying? The mega fundraiser has denied the latest charges, claiming they’re “politically motivated” and assuring “robust” fraud prevention measures are now in place.

Democratic officials fear the investigations could “undermine” “grassroots fundraising.”

🔶 Big numbers: ActBlue is the Democrats’ largest and most influential online fundraising platform, processing over $16.8B in donations since 2004, and $400M in Q1 2025 alone.

Without fresh donations, the party may have a hard time financing future election campaigns.

🔶 Claims confirmed: In 2023-2024, James O’Keefe (formerly of Project Veritas) independently uncovered alleged schemes later corroborated by Congress. The Maryland State Board of Elections refused to investigate, and a District Court judge dismissed a federal lawsuit.

🔶 Foreign meddling? In the ultimate twist of irony, ActBlue has been accused of easing foreign actors’ “exploitation” of donation systems through straw contributions.

After 10 years of unproven claims of Russian meddling for Trump, Democrats are finally on the hot seat.

🚶‍♀️US makes move toward Europe in Ukraine peace deal push

The US is dangling security guarantees, intelligence, and logistical support as potential leverage with its European allies in the push for a Ukraine peace deal, The Telegraph reports.

💬 The US message behind closed doors is, "We won’t put boots on the ground but could support UK and European forces to back up a Ukraine peace deal from land, air, and sea."

This support has been central to the “coalition of the willing” plan led by UK PM Keir Starmer and France’s Emmanuel Macron, who are pushing for European troops on the ground in Ukraine. The response to this plan has been tepid, with only a few willing to get on board.

Russia has repeatedly emphasized that the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine is totally unacceptable.

US AXES cyber aid to Ukraine amid Trump’s funding crackdown

Dozens of people who had provided cybersecurity technical assistance to Ukraine have had their contracts cancelled amid Donald Trump’s funding cuts for government agencies, Bloomberg reported.

💻US cybersecurity help for Ukraine - specialist support, training, gear, computer hardware, and software shipments - are all stalled, sources say.

💻Over the past five years, USAID pumped more than $200 MILLION into Ukraine’s cybersecurity, with backup from the National Security Agency and US Cyber Command, the report notes.

What, Ukrainians have to actually do something themselves now? 😏
