Pumping billions of dollars in building new American plants – from car factories to aluminum smelters - is now TOO RISKY, the Financial Times reports.

“It will take between three and 10 years in most cases to build a new manufacturing facility in the US,” the FT cites Erin McLaughlin, an economist at the Economy, Strategy & Finance Center think tank, as saying.

Trump has repeatedly railed against the loss of America’s manufacturing prowess, insisting that the construction of more plants will add to tackling a decline in the sector.

He singled out US steel workers, auto workers, and skilled craftsmen, who “watched in anguish as foreign leaders have stolen our [American] jobs, foreign cheaters have ransacked our factories.”
