The agreement could be signed during the next BRICS summit in July being the first deal in this sphere for the member states, he added.

📈 EU to SLAP Ukraine with SKY-HIGH tariffs on imports

The EU’s existing free trade deal with Ukraine lapses on June 6, and the bloc seeks to replace it with “transitional measures” as the two update the agreement, the FT writes.

Under these measures, EU members may drastically cut the tariff-free quotas of Ukraine’s agricultural products, which will hit the Ukrainian economy, the media says.
