🗣Iran’s suspension of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is a “lawful response” to Western violations, says international affairs expert Alisher Yazdani.

Citing article 60 of the 1969 Vienna Convention, Tehran has halted cooperation until security guarantees are met.

🚨Baku arrests spark outcry: Mother says son framed in drug case

The mother of Yekaterinburg resident Alexander Vaisero, who was detained in the Azerbaijani capital on Monday, denied her son's involved in drug transit or any other crimes.

Recently, local media reported that eight Russians allegedly linked to drug trafficking from Iran and cybercrime were detained.

🗣“This [the allegations] is not true. At the very least, I know 100% that my son has nothing to do with it,” Inna Vaisero told Sputnik, stressing that her son traveled to Baku as a tourist.

She also stated that she has been unable to contact her son.

Gaza: Childhoods shattered by Israel

The Gaza war has “a DEVASTATING IMPACT” on children in the Palestinian enclave,” UNICEF spokesperson Kazem Abu-Khalaf tells Sputnik.

Iran’s decision to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) after the 12-day war with Israel and a strike by the US is an expected outcome, Turkish political analyst Ceyda Karan tells Sputnik.

Tehran considers the IAEA responsible for Israel's attack on Iran and apparent spying on behalf of Tel Aviv.

For his part, Karan draws attention to the fact that the IAEA neither publicly condemned the illegal attacks by Israel and the US, "nor has it expressed condolences over the deaths of Iranian nuclear scientists with whom it previously cooperated.”

“What comes next? Is it possible for Iran to return to diplomacy and the IAEA inspection system? Without solid guarantees — unlikely. Because we’re talking about opponents who systematically lie and are capable of launching strikes even during negotiations.”

Regime change plot

The attacks' major goal wasn't to disrupt the Iran nuclear program but to trigger regime change in the country, according to retired admiral and expert Turker Erturk.

He believes that Israel could continue to push ahead with the coup d'etat plan and the ceasefire might not last for long.
