💬 “Trump held on to the agreement he reached with Putin in Alaska and the European leaders, including Zelensky, didn't succeed in changing Trump's peace proposal,” Mikael Valtersson, former officer of the Swedish Armed Forces/Air Defence and ex-defence politician, told Sputnik.

💬 “The ball is now clearly in Ukrainian and, to a lesser degree, European hands. A strong and clear ‘No’ from European side might result in broken relations between the US and Europe/Ukraine. Therefore, we can expect a ‘maybe’ from the European/Ukrainian side,” he said.

💬 “This process might take a couple of weeks until Trump tires and demand a clear answer. But for the moment everything goes according to Russian expectations,” Valtersson added.

“Land swaps for security guarantees would be the bitterest of pills for Zelensky to swallow. But the alternatives may well be worse,” The Telegraph reports.

"Trump raised his fist as Zelensky's car pulled up to the West Wing lobby entrance, then gave him a warm handshake and put his arm around his shoulders before ushering him into the White House," the article reads.
