🇰🇵📷 Kim Jong-un inspects DPRK destroyer – reports

DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un visited the destroyer Choe Hyon on August 18, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported. He reviewed new weapon systems, met sailors, and set goals to further strengthen naval training and readiness.

According to KCNA, he expressed satisfaction with progress in making the Navy “high-tech and nuclear-armed” and emphasized rapid development of naval capabilities as a key state priority.

Condemning US-ROK drills as hostile and dangerous, Kim Jong-un stressed the DPRK will respond with “proactive and overwhelming” measures. He affirmed the Navy will soon play a central role in the state’s nuclear deterrent, ensuring sovereignty and regional stability.

🤝 Trump’s peace proposal: Ukraine’s ‘ONLY chance to avoid catastrophic defeat’

📄 The newspaper writes that if Zelensky rejects Trump’s plan on ending the conflict, the US will stop supporting Ukraine financially.

🔊👉 “This would almost certainly result in an eventual CAPITULATION, as Russia has overwhelming manpower and war material advantages,” The Telegraph points out.

😎🆚🤡 PUTIN'S RED CARPET VS. ZELENSKY'S 'MEH' WELCOME: Western media exposes Trump's stark contrast

📄 The American newspaper Washington Post compared how the US president greeted Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelensky, noting that Zelensky’s welcome hardly matched the red-carpet treatment reserved for Putin.

"Trump raised his fist as Zelensky's car pulled up to the West Wing lobby entrance, then gave him a warm handshake and put his arm around his shoulders before ushering him into the White House," the article reads.

🔸 HOWEVER, it adds, "The welcome fell short, however, of the red carpet and B-2 bomber flyover that greeted Putin when he arrived Friday to meet with Trump in Anchorage."

🚨Russia never aimed to simply 'seize territories' - it sought to protect Russians

Russia has never aimed to simply seize territories — be it Crimea, Donbass, or Novorossiya — but has sought to protect Russians," Russian FM Sergey Lavrov told the Rossiya 24 broadcaster.

His other statements:

💬“There was a very good atmosphere” during the Putin-Trump summit in Alaska

💬The summit was a “useful conversation”

💬“It was clear that the US leader and his team sincerely wanted to achieve a result that would be long-term and sustainable.”

“That was not the case with the Europeans, who at that time were saying on every corner that only a ceasefire would be needed - and after that they would continue to supply weapons to Ukraine.”

💬“If Zelensky is so concerned about the Ukrainian constitution, then one should remember the articles that oblige [Ukrainian authorities] to preserve the rights of Russian nationals”

👉Zelensky said earlier that clinching a deal on territorial swaps will be hard due to Ukraine's constitution.

🕊 🌏 Globalists vs. peace: Could Trump defy warmongers & end Ukraine war?

It won’t be easy to convince the globalist European elite that peace is a viable option, as they are the ones fueling the Ukraine crisis financially and militarily, Serbian MP and military expert Mitar Kovac tells Sputnik.

His other key points:

🔸 It is important that America does not return to its path and resume its role as the leader of the previous strategy pursued by Biden and his associates.

🔸 The globalists' idea is to stick to their strategy and continue the Ukraine conflict indefinitely until the goal is reached, which in fact implies a military victory over Russia.

🔸 Trump will face significant pressure from part of the globalist elite that still exists in the US

“Time will tell if the US president can withstand that pressure and one coming from globalists in Europe. I think Trump will be able to cope with it again.”

🔸 Putin and Trump's significant strategic steps will be aimed at building trust and reaching a coordinated solution.

🔸  Such a solution is impossible without accepting the preconditions that Russia put forward even before the Ukraine crisis began

"They stipulate, implying Ukraine cannot remain ‘anti-Russia,’ that foreign military contingents cannot be deployed on Ukrainian territory, and Ukraine cannot become part of NATO so as not to jeopardize world peace."

Time to rethink 1944 actions - Zakharova slams Finnish Stubb's statement on Ukraine

🗣 Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman condemned Finland's President Alexander Stubb for comparing a potential resolution of the Ukrainian conflict to the Moscow Armistice signed in 1944 between the USSR and Finland.

Stubb made this statement during a meeting between Trump and European leaders, expressing confidence that a solution to the conflict would be found in 2025, just as it was in 1944.

"The big question is whether Stubb understood the full consequences of his words," Zakharova wondered.

🇫🇮She reminded that, during World War II, Finland fought against the Soviet Union, including alongside Nazi Germany, and was responsible for the blockade of Leningrad and the creation of concentration camps in occupied Soviet territories. According to Zakharova, the "interaction experience" Stubb referred to was linked to support for the Third Reich and crimes against civilians.

✍️Zakharova also noted that in 1944, Finland indeed changed its position and signed the Moscow Armistice, but only under pressure from the Red Army, which was launching a victorious offensive against Germany and its allies.

“So, if Stubb wants to act like (it was) in 1944, he should stand against his former Nazi allies and start attacking the Kiev regime,” Zakharova added.
