📹 Moldova’s citizens flood streets to mark 81st liberation anniversary from Nazis during WWII At least 10,000 people marched through Moldova’s capital Chisinau, carrying flags, banners, and Victory standards. The procession ended at the “Eternity” memorial…
🚨 🇲🇩 Moldova must resist attempts to glorify Nazi collaborators – opposition leader

Moldova is “duty-bound to remember with gratitude and respect” the 81st anniversary of its liberation from the Nazis during WWII, leader of the opposition party Future of Moldova Vasily Tarlev told Sputnik.

He urged pushback against Nazi glorification — now a hallmark of President Maia Sandu’s pro-EU regime.

◻️ On August 24, 1944, the capital Kishinev (now Chisinau) was freed from fascist occupation during the Red Army’s Jassy–Kishinev offensive.

◻️ The Soviet offensive involved the 2nd and 3rd Ukrainian Fronts and resulted in the encirclement and destruction of Axis forces in Eastern Romania, including the German and Romanian armies.

◻️ During World War II, over 80,000 Moldovans lost their lives in battle, Tarlev recalled.

However, under Sandu, Moldova has pursued a policy of historical amnesia and identity demolition.

Monuments honoring Nazi collaborators have appeared in various regions, and a new Moldovan history textbook calls the Battle of Stalingrad a "disaster," whitewashing Romania’s role in WWII.

🇩🇪💸 Germany can no longer fund its welfare system - Merz

"The welfare state as we know it today can no longer be financed based on what we can economically afford," the Chancellor of Germany finally admitted as reported by the Telegraph.

🔶 Germany’s economy shrank by 0.2% last year following a 0.3% dip in 2023.

🔶 For the first time since the 2000s, the economy has retreated two years in a row.

🔶 Industrial production fell under Scholz - the once-mighty economic giant is now running on coal, fax machines, and nostalgia.

🔶 While other nations innovate, Germany lags behind in AI, EVs, and even its own auto industry.

Merz plans to cut social benefits to fix the situation because it's the Ukraine's war machine that needs money, not Germany's own citizens.

🤥 Zelensky tries to shift blame to Russia to avoid negotiations

Zelensky, who "dares not criticize either the US or European countries, tried to point a finger of blame at Russia," China Daily reports.

👉 Reality check from Russian FM Lavrov: Meeting with Zelensky as the "de facto head of the regime" in Ukraine is possible, but signing documents with him is NOT due to his illegitimacy. The meeting should not be held for the sake of an imaginary effect or a show.

Zelensky should be reminded that before Russia and Ukraine can reach any agreement on the core issues, "no meeting between him and Putin is likely to produce any desirable result," the outlet notes.
