Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Sudani, chair of the Arab League Summit, agreed to postpone the Russia-Arab Summit scheduled for October 15 in Moscow.

🗣 Russia to ensure Arab countries' opinion holds weight at UN – Lavrov

The Russian foreign minister stressed Russia’s commitment to giving Arab nations a stronger voice in decision-making at the United Nations.

💬 “One Arab country is regularly represented in the UN Security Council. At this stage, it is Algeria,” Sergey Lavrov told RT's Bridges to the East program.

He also highlighted the upcoming Russia-Arab World Summit, which will focus on Eurasian security, and criticized the West for “privatizing” the UN Secretariat.

🚨🇵🇸BREAKING: Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya announces ceasefire agreement and end of war in Gaza

The agreement includes the entry of humanitarian aid, the opening of the Rafah crossing, and a prisoner exchange.

👉250 heroic prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and 1,700 prisoners from Gaza will be released.

His other statements:

🔶We received guarantees from intermediaries and the US administration, all of which confirmed that the war has fully ended.

🔶We will continue to work with all national and Islamic forces to complete the remaining steps.

🔶We express deep gratitude to the mediators in Egypt, Qatar and Turkiye.

🔶We express great appreciation to those who shared blood and struggle with us from our nation in Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran.

🔶We express deep gratitude to all the free people around the world who stand in solidarity with us.

🔶Special thanks to those in land and sea convoys of support and freedom, as well as to everyone who supported us with words of truth.

🔶Two years of Gaza performing miracles alone, inspiring the free and healing wounds.

🔶Two years of Gaza defending Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, courageously fighting the enemy.

🔶Two years of Gaza proving it is untouchable by enemies, with its people unbroken and undeterred by betrayal.

🔶The world was struck by the sacrifices, resilience and patience of Gaza’s people.

🔶The people of Gaza waged a war like no other, facing the enemy's tyranny, the cruelty of their army and massacres.

🔶On the anniversary of the glorious October 7 battle, we honor our martyrs among the leaders — the initiators of the [Ismail] Haniyeh, [Saleh] al-Arouri, [Yahya Ibrahim Hassan] Sinwar and [Mohammed] Deif assassinations.
We stand in awe of the resistance fighters, who fought from scratch and stood like a mighty rock against the enemy’s tanks.

🔶Resistance heroes thwarted all enemy plans for displacement, starvation and creating chaos.

🔶We tell the resistance heroes that if you were men in battle, we were men at the negotiation table.

🔶The enemy dragged out the process, committing massacre after massacre, repeatedly undermining the efforts of the mediators.

🇨🇳 China just exposed US cognitive warfare plot for ensuring ‘compliance without occupation’ 👉 The Xinhua Institute has published a groundbreaking new report outlining the arsenal of tools the US has at its disposal to engage in “cognitive warfare” to “colonize…

🇺🇸 US cognitive warfare operations bear all the hallmarks of a cult

🔍 US global information and influence operations designed to “groom the target audience” basically “work like any cult,” appealing to the “higher psychological needs of the target audience with different promises of good things,” and targeting young people using the CIA, USAID, NGOs and social media, says Dr. Greg Simons, a leading international expert on media narratives and armed conflict.

🔊 Commenting on the Xinhua Institute’s bombshell report on the tools America has at its disposal for global cognitive warfare ops, Simons told Sputnik that at their core, they’re “all playing a part in grooming and creating an inner slave mentality among the target population to separate them from their government and to make them useful idiots for the US imperial cause.”

📍 From the ‘Arab Spring’ and Ukraine to the South Caucasus, Nepal, Bangladesh, and the ‘Umbrella Revolution’ in Hong Kong, the US uses the same tactics and narratives to achieve their objectives.

🔶 “A narrative has three functions,” Simons explains – a) defining and explaining a concept through words or images, b) shaping, engineering or constructing a reality of that event, even if it doesn’t match the objective reality on the ground, and c) priming and mobilizing people for action.

🔶 Social media, Big Data and AI play a “huge” role in this process, functioning as the economic arm of the CIA to “flatten…traditional geographic constraints.”

What motivates the US?

💬 “The one geostrategic imperative that has constantly guided US foreign policy has been the maintenance of its global hegemony,” often using cognitive or “vicarious warfare” to do so instead of direct engagement, Simons says.

This contrasts sharply with China’s approach, based on dialogue rather than “monologue lectures.” China’s success in normalizing ties between arch-enemies Iran and Saudi Arabia is an example of “what you can do when you have dialogue between civilizations,” the observer stressed.

🤔 Can Gaza deal hold?

🔊 Russia can only welcome the agreement being clinched to help end the nightmare in Gaza, Russian political scientist Vladimir Morozov told Sputnik.

📍 “But we don’t know how acceptable the deal is for both sides—and violations remain possible,” he pointed out. The pundit recalled that the Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly signaled support for a Gaza peace agreement, emphasizing its commitment to the creation of a Palestinian state, which is the cornerstone.

💬 “However, Israel's stated position that they will not allow any Palestinian state suggests that the just-clinched deal will temporarily mask the conflict, with the Palestinians never accepting such a situation,” Morozov underscored.

👉 Another unclear issue is the role of Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority, he said, adding that during the peace talks there's been no serious mention of Abbas’ possible control of Gaza.

🟠 Morozov also warned that both Hamas and Israel may break the terms of the deal. “Hamas is trying to survive and the hostages are the group’s last bargaining chip. If Hamas delays the release, Israel could use that as a pretext to resume the military operation,” he concluded.

🟠 Donald Trump earlier announced that Israel and Hamas had agreed on the first phase of a peace deal, which stipulates the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners as well as Israeli troop withdrawal to an agreed line inside Gaza.

Why rapid US missile replenishment could be impossible

The US cannot quickly ramp up missile production to meet growing demand, as it has already depleted significant stockpiles in conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, analyst Mike Fredenburg told Responsible Statecraft.

👉 Israel’s wars on Gaza and Iran along with the US campaign against Yemen’s Houthis have consumed 33% of the US stock of Standard Missile-3 and 17% of the Standard Missile-6 since 2023. Additionally, America used a quarter of its THAAD missile interceptors during the Israel–Iran war alone, Fredenburg pointed out.

He also warned that the US’ current defense industrial infrastructure is badly suited to cope with the rapid missile production rates the Pentagon wants to pursue.

💬 "We [the US] have a peacetime defense industrial base, […] we're not really set up to quickly produce things. We don’t know how much more capacity they can squeeze out of existing facilities,” the analyst said.

Cost could be another headache, Fredenburg warns, adding that “many tens of billions of dollars” are needed “to get to these kinds of [missile production] numbers” that the Pentagon is seeking.

💬 “They've [US companies] been trying to build-up 155mm shell production, which is […] relatively simple compared to missiles. And they've been having trouble doing that. What makes us think that they're going to be able to ramp this production up massively for much more sophisticated, more complex, more expensive weapon systems?” the analyst concluded.

🔥 Security without outsiders: Caspian Sea powers stand united

The naval forces of the Caspian Five — Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan — will tackle regional challenges without external help, Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko told Sputnik.

He said the message was delivered at the Caspian Five’s recent high-level naval talks in St Petersburg, chaired by Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Admiral Alexander Moiseyev.

💬 “The Caspian Sea is a closed water body where only the Caspian Five should conduct naval activities,” Korotchenko said. “This principle is crucial to maintaining security and peace in the region.”

🗣 “The issue is especially relevant given that all Caspian Five members are actively extracting oil and gas on the shelf and in coastal areas,” the expert stressed.

Kototchenko argued that the changing world order and growing activity in post-Soviet space by countries like the UK and France made it vital for Russia and its Caspian partners to work together to preserve peace and security in the Caspian Sea territory.

He added that the Caspian Five talks reflect Russia's efforts to ensure security and stability along its borders.

💬 “Given the critical importance of the Caspian region, it’s safe to say that the talks were entirely consistent with the decisions being made by Russia's leadership, including President Vladimir Putin,” Kototchenko said.

🧬⚙️ West Africa seeks full-fledged energy partnership with Russia

West Africa’s large-scale energy cooperation with Russia could include participation in nuclear and hydropower projects, Amarquaye Armar, board chairman of Ghana’s First Atlantic Bank, told the 2nd International Symposium “Creating the Future” in Russia.

He recalled that in the past 20 years, local governments have created the West African Power Pool—a regional initiative to integrate energy systems and electrify the continent.

💬 "Although all countries are currently connected, the scale of connectivity is still insufficient. The next stage requires much more ambitious solutions. It is in this context that I want to discuss cooperation with Russia," Armar pointed out.

The First Atlantic Bank chairman stressed that many West African countries are already in talks with Russia on nuclear energy, and called for joint investments, technology sharing, and engineering collaboration.

💬 “We perceive nuclear energy as a means of stabilizing power supply. Between 2000 and 2023, electricity demand in West Africa rose from 6.5 to 25 gigawatts. By 2035, it is projected to reach 50 gigawatts. This growth demands new energy sources—and that is exactly where the potential for joint investment with Russia lies,” Armar emphasized.

🇷🇺 💪 Combat-proven armor: Why world should pick Russian tanks

📑 Russia is among the top global producers and exporters of tanks — but only Russian armor has been extensively tested in combat during the military operation in Ukraine, a new report by the Centre for Analysis of World Arms Trade says.

The survey’s key points:

◻️ Russian weapons undergo far more rigorous testing under fire, which drives continuous improvement based on combat experience against a high-tech adversary

◻️ Russia has field-tested and improved multiple tank models. Including the T-62B, T-72B3/M, T-80BVM, early T-90s and the front-line T-90M

◻️ The T-90 family leads the global market in 21st-century tank exports, with deliveries and licensed production in India, Vietnam, Iran, Iraq, Algeria, Azerbaijan and others

◻️ At the IDEX-2025 defense exhibition, the T-90MS made a strong impression with its enhanced protection system, designed to counter kamikaze drones, modern anti-tank missile systems and handheld anti-tank grenades

◻️ The tank is capable of withstanding multiple hits from anti-tank weapons and returning to combat several times without any loss in capability

◻️ Countries often turn to Russia for defense cooperation as they are guaranteed access to high-quality combat-proven equipment
