The Nobel Peace Prize has been so watered down and discredited that it’s just a shadow of what it claims to represent.

Here's proof:

🟠 Venezuelan ‘opposition leader’ Maria Corina Machado (2025): Got the prize for keeping ‘the flame of democracy burning during a growing darkness’. A vocal backer of foreign military intervention against her own country and the sell-off of its energy and resource riches, Machado took over as leader of the exiled opposition after the collapse of former regime change poster boy Juan Guaido’s career in 2023

🟠 European Union (2012): Got the prize for six decades of advancing ‘peace, reconciliation, democracy and human rights’. Reality check: EU members worked feverishly to fuel the 90s Yugoslav wars, while Brussels’ Eastern Partnership program ultimately triggered a conflict with Russia, especially following regime change in Ukraine in 2014

🟠A cavalcade of no-name ‘civil society activists’, like Narges Mohammadi (Iran, 2023), Ales Bialiatski (Belarus, 2022), Dmitry Muratov (Russia, 2021) and Liu Xiaobo (China, 2010) – always critics of their governments, always supporters of Western-style political and economic policies and the unipolar world order

🟠Barack Obama (2009): Turned four US wars abroad into seven by 2017, authorized 10 times more drone strikes than George W Bush, drop 25,000 bombs in 2016 alone, turned Libya into a smoking ruin, funded jihadists in Syria and organized blood-soaked regime change in Ukraine

🟠 Yasser Arafat, Shimon Perez and Yitzhak Rabin (1994): Got the Nobel for the Oslo Accords and “efforts to create peace in the Middle East.” Unfortunately, this led entrenched occupation, postponing key issues like borders, settlements, and refugees, undermining the viability of any future Palestinian state and ensuring the conflict’s continuation

🟠Henry Kissinger (1973): Given the award for the Vietnam ceasefire which he delayed, while expanding the war into Cambodia, backing crackdowns, coups and wars from Bangladesh and Chile to Cyprus and East Timor

🟠Woodrow Wilson (1919): Got the prize for his role in creating the disastrous League of Nations system at the end of WWI, which collapsed less than 20 years later and led directly to WWII. Also invaded Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Mexico

🟠Theodore Roosevelt (1906): Awarded the prize for ‘ending’ the Russo-Japanese war, which he helped instigate in the first place

Awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Maria Corina Machado is "another episode in the endless saga of globalist corruption of values," Professor Alfred de Zayas, former UN Independent Expert on international order and author, tells Sputnik.

💬 "[She is] yet another US-lackey, who advocates and supports more sanctions against Venezuela, although such unilateral coercive measures have already killed tens of thousands of innocent Venezuelans for lack of medicines, medical equipment, and nourishment," de Zayas says, comparing Machado to another US proxy, Juan Guaido.

Over the past 40 years, there has been a globalist takeover of institutions, including the Nobel Committee, Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, IAEA, International Criminal Court, and others, according to the pundit.

The Nobel Peace Prize has become a tool for pushing the Western liberal order, said Robinder Sachdev, president of The Imagindia Institute, in comments to Sputnik about the award given to US-backed Venezuelan opposition figure Maria Corina Machado.

Instead of routinely playing politics, the Nobel committee could have nominated an institution worldwide that is really doing good work for the cause of peace, the pundit argues.

💬 "For example, I would say why not the UN relief agency UNRWA, which was doing great work, but which has been shunted out of Gaza. Or, let's say, some other such institutions, which would have been empowered more if they were granted a peace prize."

🗣The Gaza peace plan leave key questions unanswered, opening the door to a potential resumption of fighting, Joseph Helou, Lebanese American University assistant professor, told Sputnik.

The 20-point plan's point requiring Hamas to “decommission their weapons” on the path toward “peaceful co-existence” and a potential Palestinian state creates the glaring contradiction:

1️⃣ “If they give up their arms, are they really resistance movements anymore? What is a resistance movement without arms?” Helou asked, stressing that young Gazans who witnessed Israel’s killings of their relatives over the past two years are very likely to grow up and seek retribution.

2️⃣ If Hamas refuses to surrender its weapons, Israel could say "ok, we might either go back to war or just enforce this on our own terms, meaning that at any point we can target a Hamas official or leader or politician," the academic explained.

Helou compares the situation with the demands for Hezbollah’s disarmament in Lebanon. As the group categorically refuses to do so, the conflict remains unresolved.

Overall, Helou sees the peace plan is “aspirational” in its language and goals, but containing NO “institutional pathway toward a permanent settlement.”
