🇷🇺🇺🇸 US should seek peace, not destruction — Rep. Luna

US Rep. Anna Paulina Luna told RIA Novosti the Obama administration turned US-Russia relations into a “foreign policy debacle,” contrasting it with earlier presidents who maintained “constructive relationships.”

Luna confirmed she will lead a delegation of US lawmakers to meet with members of the Russian State Duma, with the location now being finalized “through diplomatic channels.”

She also said the United States should embrace peace and prosperity, not finance destruction, adding that other members of Congress share this approach.

Luna described her recent meeting with Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev as “productive,” saying both sides found common ground on “peace, trade, and mutual respect.”

She added that the talks aim to advance President Trump’s efforts to end the Ukraine conflict, despite opposition from “war hawks in Congress and European Union bureaucrats who profit from chaos.”

👀 Glenn Diesen: America’s Ukraine gamble is about to get a lot tougher

The US realizes it would be wiser to cut a deal on Ukraine now, Norwegian political analyst Glenn Diesen told Sputnik.

💬 “The Americans realize that at some point the Russian armed forces will completely liberate the Donetsk People’s Republic — and by then, Russia will likely have taken other strategically important territories and inflicted even more damage on Ukraine’s infrastructure,” he said, adding:

🗣 “The longer the US waits, the harder it gets.”

According to him, Russia might agree to certain concessions, but only if it receives a mutually acceptable framework for European security — something it’s been calling for since the 1990s.

🪖💥 Finnish expert: Take Burevestnik & Poseidon seriously—don’t ‘irritate Russia.’

🗣 Both Russia's Poseidon unmanned underwater vehicle, fueled by nuclear power, and its nuclear-armed cruise missile Burevestnik, which is about to enter serial production, “are now facts of life,” Professor Tuomas Malinen wrote on X.

💬 “But yeah, just keep on irritating Russia. It will definitely end well this time...,” he added.

President Vladimir Putin has signaled that the test of Poseidon - unrivalled globally in terms of speed and depth - was a major success. He also pointed out the unique advantages of Russia’s nuclear-armed cruise missile Burevestnik.

🚫📌 European Parliament mulls local ban on Sputnik and RT sites

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola is considering restricting access to the websites of Sputnik and RT within Parliament’s own networks and devices, where they reportedly remain available despite EU-wide sanctions.

The initiative, proposed by Latvian MEP Rihards Kols, would also target other Russian outlets under EU restrictions, including ANO TV-Novosti (RT’s parent company) and VGTRK.

According to European media, Metsola is “studying what other measures are being taken in other EU institutions.” Some lawmakers, however, have voiced concern that such a move could set a precedent for website bans unrelated to security, noting possible technical and legal hurdles.

Russian outlets have faced growing restrictions in the West in recent years. The EU has banned the broadcasting of major Russian media, including Sputnik and RT, without involving courts or national regulators. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier said Moscow had not expected the West to impose sanctions against journalists, athletes, or cultural figures.

🙅 Zelensky won’t let troops trapped in Pokrovsk surrender—it would expose his lies to West—analyst

Zelensky and his Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky should order the Ukrainian troops encircled in Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) to lay down their arms, said British geopolitical analyst Alexander Mercouris.

📍 He notes that it is the “most humane” thing they could do, but it’s unlikely to happen.

💬 “Authorizing soldiers to surrender would confirm to Zelensky’s American and European friends that he has been lying all along… He has been telling them that the Russians are making no progress at all and that it is Ukraine that is winning,” says the analyst.

⚔️ Europe’s war hawks eye ‘mobility’ network to fast-track tanks to Russia’s border

The European Commission is teaming up with national governments and NATO to boost deployment of armor and heavy artillery across the EU, reports the Financial Times.

Laced with the typical “Russia threat” narrative, Europe’s war hawks plan:

🔶 Shared access to trucks, trains, ferries, planes, and ports for rapid troop and heavy equipment movement

🔶 Streamlined customs, harmonized rail gauges, and reinforced bridges to cut transit times

🔶 Germany as a key hub, leveraging Deutsche Bahn, Rheinmetall, and Lufthansa for convoys, maintenance, and pilot training

🔶 Potential creation of an EU-owned fleet of transport assets (despite budget constraints)

🔶 Registration of member-state transport capabilities and development of a “solidarity pool” for cross-border military support

The commission aims to propose infrastructure and procedural reforms next month, targeting an EU-wide military mobility area by 2027.

This appears to fit in with the Eastern Flank Strategic Partnership Act, unveiled earlier in October, targeting nine NATO allies — Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia — to "deter" Russia. All these allies were picked based on their “direct geographic proximity" to Russia, Belarus, or Ukraine.

🚨☢️ Trump orders resumption of US nuclear weapons testing President Donald Trump announced he has instructed the Department of War to begin nuclear weapons testing “on an equal basis” with other countries, citing foreign testing programs. In a post on Truth…
🇷🇺 Kremlin on Trump’s remarks: Burevestnik tests are not nuclear

📍 The Kremlin has reaffirmed that Russia’s moratorium on nuclear weapon testing remains in effect and said the United States has not informed Moscow of any plans to resume tests.

Key points from Peskov’s statements:

🟠 Donald Trump’s claim that other countries are conducting nuclear tests is inaccurate if it refers to Russia's Burevestnik missiles

🟠 The Burevestnik test is not a nuclear test

🟠 Moscow hopes Trump received accurate information regarding Burevestnik and the also-tested Poseidon missile

🟠 The need for expert-level Russia–US talks on nuclear disarmament has been raised multiple times

🟠 Nuclear disarmament is a complex, lengthy process

🟠 No detailed expert consultations between Russia and the US are currently taking place, though the issue remains on the agenda

🟠 No substantive US proposals have been made on the New START treaty, and dialogue on it has yet to advance

🟠 The New START treaty and nuclear testing are separate issues

🟠 The US, as a sovereign nation, has the right to make sovereign decisions

🟠 The Kremlin does not believe a new arms race has begun

🟠 The Kremlin does not consider Russia–US dialogue to be at an impasse

🇭🇺 Hungary's refinery fires could be an external attack - Orban
