After stops in #Beirut, #Israel, a quick visit to remarkable #AbrahamicFamilyHouse in #UAE. A good reminder these days of what world could & should be - a mosque, church & synagogue on one campus. Not a museum, but actively used by all 3 faiths. A goal worth striving toward

Soon after the horrific events of October 7, I met with Jon & Rachel Goldberg-Polin, friends of many years. Jon said “don’t think about helping Hersh, imagine it was Leo”. Those words never left me. Today is my son Leo’s BDay - as I look at him, all I can think about is Hersh.

Thank you @JoeSquawk for correcting the record. As I said, under @POTUS Biden-Harris admin:
Natural gas ⬆️ to record high (price so low can’t produce more…)
Oil ⬆️ to record high
Renewable energy ⬆️ by more than 100 gigawatts

In the last few years, the admin/Congress has now cancelled 140 million barrels that Congress mandated be sold during the Trump administration, and the admin purchased >55 million barrels, netting nearly 200 mb, offsetting 2022's emergency sale of ~180 million.

At the International Conference in Support of Lebanon’s People & Sovereignty, I reaffirmed 🇺🇸 support for the Lebanese people & the urgent need for an enduring diplomatic solution to enable displaced citizens on both sides of the Blue Line to return home.

The big Trump and Republican victory will create a vastly more favorable policy environment for oil and gas investment up and down the supply chain. It will also remove incipient policy threats, especially against exports.
However, the US can enjoy a healthy shale oil sector and sharply lower oil prices, but not both.
Unless sanctions or, God forbid, conflict disrupt crude flows, the near-term outlook for US shale oil production will depend more on decisions made in Vienna than in Washington.

USCENTCOM Commander Visits Lebanon
Today, Dec. 11, Gen. Michael Kurilla traveled to Beirut, Lebanon and met with Gen. Joseph Aoun, Commander of the Lebanon Armed Forces and Maj. Gen. Jasper Jeffers, the Co-chair of the implementation and monitoring mechanism for the cessation of hostilities between Israel and Lebanon. The leaders discussed ongoing efforts to advance a lasting cessation of hostilities between Israel and Lebanon via the mechanism, which is chaired by the U.S. and assisted by France, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), and the Israel Defense Forces.
Gen. Kurilla was present at the implementation and monitoring headquarters today during the ongoing first Israeli Defense Forces withdrawal and Lebanese Armed Forces replacement in Al Khiam, Lebanon as part of the agreement. “This is an important first step in the implementation of a lasting cessation of hostilities and lays the foundation for continued progress,” said Gen. Kurilla.
Gen. Kurilla and Gen. Aoun also discussed the ongoing, evolving security situation in Syria, the impact it has on stability in the region, and ways to increase the military to military partnership between the LAF and CENTCOM.
