⚡️🇶🇦🇸🇾 Doha will decide the fate of Syria and Bashar al-Assad

Today, 7 December, the Astana format meeting on Syria will be held in Qatar at the Doha Forum. The foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey will hold talks that could result in crucial decisions regarding the future of the Syrian Arab Republic and its President Bashar al-Assad.

Based on the current situation in the country, Assad's chances of holding on to Syrian statehood are slim. Moreover, there are reports that he and his family have left Syria.

Turkey is interested in weakening the positions of Russia and Iran in Syria and has used the offensive of the HTS and SNA controlled groups against the Syrian government forces to put pressure on Moscow and Tehran.

Russia's priority will be to maintain control over the provinces of Latakia and Tartus, where military bases are located.

In turn, Syria's ally Iran has realised that it cannot fight as an auxiliary force if the Syrian Army itself is unwilling to fight.

🇸🇾⚡️- The city of Qunaitra, along the border with the occupied Golan Heights, has been seized by the Free Syrian Army uprising in southern Syria.

🇷🇺🇸🇾⚡️- "Moscow will not intervene militarily in Syria, armed factions may take control of Homs." - Al Hadath, Saudi state news, quoting a Russian diplomatic source.

🇸🇾 - It's time we face the facts. Whether you love Assad or not, doesn't matter. At this rate, Assad's dead body will be paraded around Damascus by Turkish-Israeli backed militants in a few weeks.

With Russia and Iran ostensibly abandoning Syria, the amount of time Assad has left is shrinking by the second.

🇸🇾⚡️- The Revolutionary Commando Army (affiliated with the opposition Free Syrian Army) have advanced further out of Al-Tanf into the now-abandoned Syrian desert, capturing the city of Palmyra.

Reports suggest that the Revolutionary Commando Army - backed by the United States - have also reached the outskirts of Al Quaryatayn in the Homs Province.

🇸🇾⚡️- Syrian Arab Army (SAA) fighters are evacuating the town of Artoz, located only 15km south from Damascus.

🇸🇾⚡️- BREAKING: Audible clashes between Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in Homs!

🇸🇾⚡️- Violent clashes are reported in the Qosour District of Homs, Syria.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) fighters are attempting to storm the city from the north-west, a similar strategy employed in Hama.

The Battle for Homs has begun.
