China uses yellow buoys to mark its alleged territorial waters in the South China and Yellow Seas. This is the first time Chinese buoys have been used in Scarborough, and comes as the US prepares live rocket firing exercises in the area.

🇪🇹⚡- Fighting between forces from the Tigray region and Ethiopian troops in the neighboring Afar province continue for a second day.

Afar's regional government has accused the Tigray forces of seizing 6 towns in the Afar province, violating the 2022 Pretoria ceasefire. The Tigray Interim Administration deny their TPLF forces are involved in the attacks, and claim to be working together with Addis Ababa to deescalate the situation.
