Yesterday, an animal hunted and deliberately targeted two National Guard servicemembers, Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe and Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, both of whom were fulfilling their duties in the District of Columbia, the capital of our nation. Regrettably, Beckstrom has succumbed to her injuries and passed away today.
As Americans and men of conscience, we pray for the soul of Specialist Beckstrom, and we ask God to protect and guide her family in this time of great trouble. We also pray for the recovery of Staff Sergeant Wolfe, and for his family, that he may live and continue his honorable duties for our great nation.
Rerum Novarum unequivocally and fervently stands with the United States Armed Forces, and all of the brave men who volunteer for their nation.
