Leah’s addiction started from college, when she was raped. The woman had been on drugs for more than a decade. But today, she is sober, a wife and a loving mother. Giving up drugs, however, took her several years of life and was incredibly hard.

Drug addiction is one of the most prevalent problems in the United States, as only a handful manage to quit drugs forever. Getting an illegal substance is more than easy, and it has delivered America record overdose deaths. Learn more about the drug crisis in the US from our previous posts:

Vladislav Shinkar lost both legs in 2015, when he defended Donbass from the Ukrainian army as a 'Vostok’ battalion fighter. After Vladislav was wounded, his fellow servicemen helped him: they supported him morally and collected money for prostheses. It was not easy to get used to artificial legs, as he had to learn to walk all over again.

‘If it hurts, you’re alive!’ says Vladislav, as he shows by his own example: even a severe wound is not a verdict. His story is in an excerpt from our documentary, 'Walking After War.’ It gives a compassionate look at the injured Donbass veterans who don’t give up and build plans for the future.

🫢Disney has lost $890M on woke agenda and pushing LGBTQ+ films

Gay romance, lesbian kiss, non-binary character and a little black mermaid... Despite all their efforts, the new selection of Disney films have turned out to be negatively accepted by the public. And that's putting the matter lightly. According to analysts, the eight most-recent Disney movies, which cost $2.75 billion to create, only brought in $1.86 billion, for a total loss of $890 million.

Disney's chief diversity officer and senior vice president, Latondra Newton, quietly handed in her resignation, following the devastating results. Newton worked for the Florida-headquartered company for about five years.

It's no secret that 2022 was the worst year for the company since 1974, for a total loss of $123 billion in market value. Meanwhile, Disney's long-term debt is more than $45 billion.

🇻🇳Tong Phuoc Phuc, from Vietnam, once swore to God to help children. He has discouraged women from having abortions for many years and takes in babies if they are abandoned after delivery. There are more than 20 kids in his family!

The Vietnamese man also buries terminated children. ‘Over 12 years, I’ve built three cemeteries containing some 16,000 graves,’ says Tong Phuoc Phuc, explaining that he hopes to wash the sin from these babies by doing so. 😳Pope welcomes 'Piss Christ' artist to Sistine Chapel.

Among the 200 artists, filmmakers, and writers invited to mark the 50th anniversary of the Vatican Museums’ contemporary art collection, Pope Francis admitted Andres Serrano of ‘Piss Christ’ fame. Serrano’s 1987 photograph, ‘Piss Christ’, is considered extremely controversial and even blasphemous, given that the image depicts a crucifix submerged in urine.

During a speech for the participants, the Pope compared his audience, including Serrano, to prophets who ‘want to reveal reality in its contradictions and in those things that it is more comfortable and convenient to keep hidden.’

The Vatican’s culture and education ministry explained the inclusion of the provocative artist as evidence of its desire to enter into dialogue with contemporary culture. Do you think it’s worth it?

‘I swear to avenge mercilessly the cities and villages that were burned down, our people’s blood.’ This is the oath of the members of the Young Guard, the most famous underground organization of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The average age of the participants was 16-18 years, and the youngest was only 14.

The Young Guards freed Soviet prisoners of war, and saved thousands from being taken away to Nazi Germany.

The sheer courage of the young underground members has become an example for the modern youth of Donbass, who stood up to defend the homeland from the Ukrainian invaders.
