Turing Award Won by 3 Pioneers in Artificial Intelligence

On Wednesday, the Association for Computing Machinery, the world’s largest society of computing professionals, announced that Drs. Hinton, LeCun and Bengio had won this year’s Turing Award for their work on neural networks. The Turing Award, which was introduced in 1966, is often called the Nobel Prize of computing, and it includes a $1 million prize, which the three scientists will share.

My Research Interests: Pattern Recognition, Regression Techniques, Time Series Forecasting, Bayesian learning, Functional Data Analysis.

Eligibility: You can be a Bachelors or Masters student and must have reasonable knowledge om Machine Learning (at least one any of the above topics).

Project Target: The objective is to work on application-driven problems for which we are going to find out solution methodology and related theoretical results. The aim is to come up with novel techniques or models or theoretical results and make a potential research paper out of it.

Time Requirement: 2 to 6 Months of full-time involvement in the project.


Important Note: I cant provide accommodation, stipend and any official project completion certificate. But I can give you good learning experience, recommendation for MS or Ph.D.

Location: You can either come to ISI Kolkata to work with me. Even in exceptional cases, you can work from home as well.
