Just so you guys know, Ukraine is still attacking Kursk Oblast despite these significant Russian advances in Sumy Oblast. They are approaching the rear of Tetkino and have occupied further positions in other areas of the Russian side of the border. And they're…
Russian source on the situation in Tetkino, Kursk Oblast:

"Tetkino. The situation is on the brink. The enemy continues to encircle our garrison. And he succeeds. They have set up a stronghold at the cemetery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and are bringing up infantry, drones, and artillery.

It is not possible to dislodge them from the strongholds. After the artillery preparation, which was not entirely successful, they sent the Feodosia paratroopers into the assault. The result... The crests are in place, but there are fewer and fewer paratroopers.

The word "Environment" is already flashing in large letters.

And if someone at the top still thinks that this is a meaningless activity, let them come and stand there and see with their own eyes.

The officials show pictures where "we are beating everyone". This can create the impression that everything is under control there. There is no control there at all! Without the introduction of reserves, it will be total crap!"

Over the past few days, Russian has been conducting heavy air and artillery preparations on the village of Myrne, northeast of Pokrovsk. At least 6 FAB-500 glide-bombs have been dropped on Ukrainian positions there, while artillery shelling and FPV drone strikes target the village, its surroundings and logistical routes.

Meanwhile, under heavy drone and artillery cover, Russian infantry was able to storm the village from Malynivka and establish a foothold in the eastern houses of it. No progress has been recorded in the past 48 hours as they likely dig in and consolidate their new positions, however Myrne's location complicates Ukrainian supplies.

The capture of Myrne will result in the collapse of the frontline westwards from the salient northwest of Yelyzavetivka, which the Russians are already in the process clearing out. Ukrainian forces would then have to fall back beyond the Kazenyi Torets River, therefore protecting part of the western flank of Russia's spearhead northeast of Myrnohrad, allowing for intensified and more successful assault operations to the north in the direction of Koptjeve and Razine, if Russia chooses to focus there.

Ukrainian Map resource "Deepstate" on the occasion of the National Day of Remembrance of Poles:

"And in the end, we will say only one thing - Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych were and will be Heroes of Ukraine, and the OUN and UPA are organizations that Ukrainians will praise and remember for their struggle, which had the goal of a free and independent Ukraine! And the red-black flag will proudly fly next to the state flag. And neither the Poles nor the Muscovites will tell us who will be our Heroes."

The reactions on the post say it all.

Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the day of remembrance: "This goes against the spirit of good neighborly relations between the countries. Once again, we remind you that Poles should not look for enemies among Ukrainians, and Ukrainians should not look for enemies among Poles. We have a common enemy – Russia,"

1 Russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber departed from Ukrainka Airbase in Amur Oblast. Likely a redeployment to Olenya Airbase in Murmansk Oblast.
4 Tu-95s have redeployed from Ukrainka Airbase in Amur Oblast to Olenya Airbase in Murmansk Oblast. They may be equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles.

According to new information, at least 2 of these 4 Tu-95s were equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles at Ukrainka Airbase. These 4 bombers are ones which weren't previously used in attacks on Ukraine, were situated deep in the rear, and were primarily used to train young pilots. An An-12 cargo plane has arrived at Olenya Airbase, as the process of clearing the debris of the destroyed aircraft continues.

Meanwhile, 2 Tu-95s and 2 Tu-160s are stationed at Engels-2 Airbase in Saratov Oblast, and 2 Tu-95s are stationed at Diaghilev Airbase in Ryazan Oblast. It's likely that at least 2 of the bombers at Engels-2 are equipped with Kh-101 missiles.

I agree with the points made here, but the Ukrainian command has proven time and time again that they won't adapt to the rapidly evolving battlefield conditions, either effectively to the point where it makes a major difference, or at all.

Additionally, if this line is stretched to the point where this thread suggests, Ukraine will have to bring significant reinforcements from other parts of the frontline, which massively weakens critical areas. This will happen no matter where you pull reinforcements from, just because of the sheer quantity of everything needed to hold a solid line in Sumy Oblast.

If Ukraine brings up more mobilised personnel, it won't change much except give them more "meat" for the grinder and lower the overall morale. Ukraine lacks experienced personnel and without them, the line will not hold.

And who knows if Russia will choose to open up new fronts in other areas, whether that be in Sumy, Kharkiv or even Chernihiv Oblast. They certainly have the numbers to do so.

It turns out that a FAB-1500 Glide-bomb was used rather than a Kh-59. It targeted the Regional State Administrative building again.

3 Tu-95s departed from Olenya Airbase in Murmansk Oblast, and are flying south to Engels-2 Airbase in Saratov Oblast to be equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles. This suggests that only 1 of the 4 Tu-95s that arrived from Ukrainka yesterday was equipped with missiles. Once equipped with missiles, the 3 Tu-95s will probably all make a return trip to Olenya.

Last night, a combined missile and drone strike was carried out on Kharkiv Oblast. 2 Kh-35 cruise missiles impacted an unknown target in the city, while an Iskander-M ballistic missile hit something in the area of the city of Chuhuiv, possibly related to the airbase used for long-range UAV launches and tactical aircraft refueling there.

16 Russian Geran-2 drones also attacked Kharkiv Oblast. ~12 of these targeted Kharkiv City, of which at least 9 made impacts. 2-3 impacts were recorded at residential buildings in Slobidskyi district, with officials stating that 19 people were injured, including 4 children.

Impacts were also recorded in the Kyivskyi district of the city, and at an industrial zone the town of Vasyshcheve, with NASA FIRMS data picking up a fire the latter. This exact area was previously targeted on April 30, 2025, where a Nova Poshta postal warehouse was hit. It seems one of the buildings next-door was the target this time.
