North of Zolotyi Kolodyaz, these small trench systems here, according to the Ukrainians, are reinforced with concrete.
They say, it already takes dozens of drone drops and FPV attacks to force them out of a wood dugout. If they were to gain a foothold in these concrete trenches, it will be impossible to knock them out. That's the importance of the New Donbas Line. It was built with solutions to modern problems in mind.

While the main line has been breached, those types of isolated strongpoints have been formidable in the past, but of course only if they are properly manned. These trenches are probably better manned than most places considering the massive reinforcements brought in.

A Shahid hit a petrol station not far from me, this was frequented by the Ukrainian military.

In the Borova direction, Russian forces advanced and captured the village of Zelenyi Hai.

Russian forces advanced south from the tactical heights to the north, and entered the agricultural buildings on the northern outskirts of Zelenyi Hai. The main attack likely came from the east, with Russian forces pushing along the northern bank of a small river, before entering and clearing the residential part of the settlement.

Ukrainian forces largely withdrew to the line of fortifications south and west of Zelenyi Hai, although Russian forces have already crossed the river and captured a small forest south of the village.

An explosion was heard from Sumy City. This was a ground-to-ground type S-300 missile.

Footage showing today's training of a Tu-95MS strategic bomber from Engels-2 Airbase, Saratov Oblast.

Interestingly, the bomber is not equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles, confirming that not all bombers at the airbase have been equipped. Recently, Tu-95s have been flying to and from Ukrainka Airbase, Amur Oblast to be equipped with missiles.

My prediction for today's peace talks:

Putin puts forth his baseline demands for a long-term ceasefire in Ukraine.

Trump refuses because it's in America's best interests to keep Ukrainians fighting Russians.

Putin flies back to Moscow and Trump flies back to Washington.

Trump is silent for a day or two and then makes a post on Truth Social (similar to his one a couple months ago with the missile attack), expressing his "disappointment" in Putin for not ending the war, but using the fact that he even tried to negotiate with Putin to further promote himself as the "president of peace".

Zelensky makes an address using these failed talks to continue claiming that Putin doesn't want peace, while indirectly and subtly mocking Trump for even trying to negotiate with terrorists.

Medvedev makes a few harsh tweets about the U.S. and Ukraine.

The war continues, and hundreds of thousands of more Russians and Ukrainians die over the next 2-ish years.
