Civilians have begun fleeing Venezuela's capital Caracas following the US airstrikes and reported special forces insertions.

A U.S. Airforce KC-135R Stratotanker has turned on its transponder approximately 620 km off the coast of Venezuela.

Presumably it is being used to refuel fighter jets carrying out airstrikes.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has declared a state of emergency, calling on people to mobilise to "defeat this imperialist aggression."

Venezuela's foreign ministry has released a statement denouncing the US attacks on Venezuela, calling it an attempt at seizing their strategic resources such as oil, and undermining their political independence.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has ordered all national defence plans to be implemented "at the appropriate time and circumstances".

Heavy damage is seen at the La Guaria port north of Caracas in Venezuela following a series of U.S. airstrikes.

So far, the U.S. Airforce has attacked targets in at least 4 different regions of Venezuela.

- Dozens of airstrikes targeted the capital of Caracas, including the Fort Tiuna military base, and a number of ammunition depots, resulting in massive secondary detonations.

- At least 6 airstrikes targeted the La Guaria Port in the La Guaria State.

- Several airstrikes targeted the Miranda State, with most/all impacting Higuerote Aiport.

- Multiple airstrikes targeted something in Aragua State, likely El Libertador Air Base (the Headquarters of the Venezuelan Air Force).

When Russia invades Ukraine, it's a full-scale unprovoked illegal invasion...

When the U.S. invades Venezuela, it's a justified military operation for national security purposes...

According to unconfirmed reports, Caracas International Airport is under U.S. control and ready to accept transport aircraft.
