Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces made a small advance on the South Donetsk front.

This was previously reported by a few sources, but it has only been confirmed today. This advance was likely conducted from two directions - the northeast and the southeast. From the northeast, the Russians advanced out of Shakhtarske and captured the treeline just outside the village. They then advanced down it, reaching the small reservoir.

In the Southeast, two things could've happened:

1: They advanced out of Shakhtarske, or;

2: they advanced from the agricultural buildings in the south, along the southern treeline before advancing westwards in a small spearheard along the next treeline.

If the first option is true, then it could indicate that Shakhtarske was used more as a forward troop concentration hub than I previously would have thought. This would've been facilitated by the fact that the village wasn't as destroyed as others in the country, due to the relatively short-lived battle for it.

Either way, Russian forces were able to advance in the direction of the key town and logistical hub of Velyka Novosilka. I expect we will see more advances here in the near future as this town becomes a key goal for the Russians on the south Donetsk axis.

Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces have advanced west of Selydove and seized another section of the railway line.

They were able to advance along the windbreaks on either side of the tracks, using the trees as cover from Ukrainian FPV drones and artillery. This then allowed them to take up positions southeast of Petrivka. This advance means that the Russians have largely bypassed Hryhorivka, although as the Solona river cuts through this settlement, it's likely that we will see another flanking attack from the northeast.

An APC and a "turtle tank" then advanced across the fields. The tank laid suppressive fire on the Ukrainian positions before Russian infantry dismounted and assaulted the positions.

Ukraine responded by firing artillery shells at the advancing Russian vehicles but missed.

Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces have made a small advance south of Chasiv Yar, taking control of a series of trench fortifications.

No visible resistance was seen by any remaining Ukrainian troops. It appears that they had evacuated the trenches before the attack took place.

This advance risks taking any remaining Ukrainian troops east of the Siversky Donets canal into a pocket, that's if - of course - the Russians are able to advance further down the western bank of the canal before the Ukrainian formations withdraw.

Update from the South Donetsk front:

Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces have advanced in two places in the direction of Kurakhove.

Firstly, Russian infantry managed to clear the large, forested area northwest of Bohoyavlenka. This was then likely used as a staging ground for future assault operations on the next treelines to the north of it. A Russian Armoured Fighting Vehicle then advanced across the fields towards a Ukrainian position and dropped off 6 Russian soldiers who then went on to clear the trenches.

A second Russian AFV then advanced north along a treeline and dropped of Russian soldiers at two different Ukrainian positions, who went on to clear them.

Further east, Russian forces were able to cross the small river that runs east of Bohoyavlenka and cleared the settlement of Dobrovillya. Additionally, 5 Russian tanks advanced through open fields in the direction of Ukrainian positions just south of the other forested area. While no confirmation has been received of them taking up these positions, the location of the tanks does indicate control over the treelines further south. One of the Ukrainian positions was hit by a Russian FPV drone and an artillery shell, likely resulting in casualties.

Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces continue to advance in the Kurakhove direction and have made progress along the northern bank of the Kurakhove Reservoir.

After capturing Kurakhivka and Vovchenka, Russian troops - building on their momentum - advanced across a tributary of the Vovcha river and entered the village of Stepanivka. From there, they cleared the village, probably by using the reservoir as a way to protect their southern flank while simultaneously attempting to encircle the AFU against the reservoir as they went.

Additionally, the Russians were able to seize the eastern streets of Kurakhove, along with the dachas after advancing out of Ostrivske, although it is likely that this advance occurred a while ago.

Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces have made significant progress along the border between Luhansk and Kharkiv Oblasts, breaking through to two villages outside Luhansk Oblast.

This advance was incremental and took place over multiple weeks. It began with an assault on Andriivka and Myasozharivka. Initial assaults on these two "settlements" failed, but renewed attacks were successful in occupying the few buildings in each of them.

From there, the Russians advanced across the Zherebets river and into the village of Vyshneve. Clashes broke out with Ukrainian troops defending the village, but due to a lack of defensive positions, it fell relatively quickly. Russia - building on it's momentum - advanced south to the village of Pershotravneve. They used two "Turtle tanks" to advance down the road leading south, but both tanks were struck by Ukrainian FPV drones.

Some source claimed that the Russians were able to capture Pershotravneve, but this has not been visually confirmed.
