IDF: Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in a number of areas in Israel, a missile that was launched from Yemen was intercepted by the IAF.

After a relatively "slow" patch in terms of Russian advances, Russian forces have begun making quicker progress in the Pokrovsk direction and in the direction of the border with Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Recent reports from multiple reliable sources indicate that Russian forces advanced in and around Velyka Novosilka.

Three main advances were made. In the east, the Russians were able to enter Velyka Novosilka from the northeast, attacking from multiple directions and dislodging the Ukrainians from their positions in the industrial zone. They also advanced and captured part of the eastern residential areas.

Further west, following the capture of Vremivka, Russian forces advanced across the Mokri Yaly river and established a bridgehead in the town centre and nearby houses.

West of Velyka Novosilka, Russia levelled out the front line, capturing some forested areas and two treelines.

Russia is continuing to transfer military equipment and aircraft from Syria to Libya. Earlier today, a Russian IL-76MD cargo plane departed from the Hmeimim air base in Latakia, Syria, and flew to the al-Khadem base in eastern Libya.

A recent map update by the Ukrainian source "Deepstate" indicates that Russian forces advanced in the salient southwest of Kurakhove.

They also managed to expand their zone of control to the west, capturing more forest plantations.

Meanwhile west of Yantarne, Russian forces slightly expanded their zone of control on the northern bank of the river, capturing a small forest, therefore linking up with the bridgehead.

Now that this has been achieved, Ukraine's southern flank in this salient which was previously protected by the Sukhi Yaly river, is now significantly weakened, with a solid Russian presence north of the river which they will undoubtably expand in the near future.

Israel's channel 12 news has reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has now said that the ceasefire will not begin until Hamas has provided the names of the first three hostages to be released.

If these names have been/are released, the ceasefire will take hold in 24 minutes.
