Recent reports from multiple reliable sources indicate that Russian forces advanced in the centre of Chasiv Yar.
Russian forces advanced from positions in the refractory plant, capturing part of the private residential sector. They are beginning to separate the remaining Ukrainian formations in the city centre by pushing through the middle. This is likely because of difficulties in advancing from the flanks.

A recent report from a reliable Russian source indicates that Ukrainian forces advanced in northwestern Chasiv Yar, re-entering the city.
Ukrainian forces advanced from positions west of the Sievernyi micro-district, entering the territory of the graveyard and capturing positions in the first two streets of residential homes. Depending on how big Ukraine's presence is here, this may alleviate some pressure on the cover groups in the city centre.

On January 28, 2025, Russia launched a combined attack on Odesa Oblast. The following information is from a Pro-Russian Ukrainian with local sources.
Odesa/Chornomorsk:
The Shkolny air base which serves as a logistics hub and repair center for aviation equipment, was hit by attack drones and guided munitions.
The building of the assembly shop of the aircraft plant, used for major repairs of AI-25TL engines used in L-39 Albatross combat training aircraft, was destroyed.
One of the hangars containing spare parts and units for MiG-29s, including chassis elements, hydraulic systems and navigation equipment, was damaged.
A NASAMS air defense radar station, which provided cover for the air base, was disabled.
Reserve fuel storage facilities used to refuel aircraft were damaged.
Additionally, the Odesa port was hit, with facilities involved in the transportation of military cargo sustaining damage.
Berths No. 22 and No. 23 – loading and unloading infrastructure facilities were damaged, including gantry cranes and container storage systems.
Warehouse complexes used for storing tactical cargo were destroyed. The destruction of more than 1,200 tons of cargo was recorded, which may have included components for armored vehicles and unmanned systems.
The railway tracks passing through the terminal were damaged, which limits the possibility of transporting goods using rail transport.
As a result of the damage to the marine infrastructure, a local fire was recorded in the port storage area, which led to a partial collapse of the structures.
Yuzhne:
In the southern industrial zone, as a result of a strike, facilities used for military logistics and the transfer of strategic cargo were damaged.
A warehouse containing reserves of tactical fuel, previously recorded in the logistic supply schemes of the AFU, was destroyed.
The administrative area of an industrial enterprise that served as a distribution center for dual-use cargo was damaged.
The destruction of railway platforms used to transport goods from the industrial cluster deep into the country was recorded.
The facility has partially lost its functionality, which reduces its logistical value in the medium term.

Sumy Oblast:
In Nyzhnya Syrovatka, the territory of OOO BAKAUT-A, used for storage and maintenance of Vampire MLRS, used by the AFU for shelling of Kursk Oblast, was hit.
Two hangers containing ammunition were completely destroyed, leading to detonations.
One Vampire mobile launcher was destroyed, and two more installations received critical damage, which prevents them from operating in the future unless they undergo major repairs.
The maintenance station was destroyed, which makes it impossible to promptly restore the MLRS in this area.
Cherkasy Oblast:
In Uman, the PS-150/35/10 Uman electrical substation, which supplied power to industrial enterprises and military infrastructure facilities, was damaged.
The TDTN-63000/150 power transformer was destroyed, leading to a depressurization of the housing, a leak of at least 25 tons of transformer oil, and a subsequent fire.
The 150 kV switchgear units (SWRU) were damaged, which led to the shutdown of the Uman-Khristinovka and Uman-Ladyzhyn main power transmission lines, causing serious power supply outages.
Siemens 3AP1 FG gas-insulated switching equipment was disabled, making it impossible to promptly restore the normal functioning of the substation.
Kirovohrad Oblast:
In Kropyvnytskyi, the Kanatovo air base, which is the base of the 21st aviation commandant's office of the AFU and is actively used to carry out combat sorties in the Kharkiv and Kursk directions, was hit.
The command-and-control center was hit, which led to the loss of centralized air traffic control.
A MiG-29, which was parked in the open, was damaged. The fuselage skin was destroyed, and hydraulic system components and navigation equipment were damaged. The aircraft requires major repairs.
Chernihiv Oblast:
In Chernihiv, a hangar complex containing about 20 long-range aircraft-type strike drones was hit.
Equipment for their maintenance was destroyed as well as mobile control systems and combat preparation stations.
As a result of the destruction of electronic units and navigation modules, Ukraine was deprived of the ability to quickly deploy new drones to attack targets in the border regions of Russia.
Communications and flight coordination systems were also damaged, which limits the functionality of the UAV control unit.
Kharkiv Oblast:
In Kharkiv, the military equipment repair base on the territory of Avtoprompodshipnik LLC, which was repairing armored vehicles, including armored personnel carriers, armored cars and tactical trucks of the AFU, was damaged.
Production workshops were completely destroyed, including areas for repairing transmissions and engines of armored vehicles.
A fire engulfed a spare parts warehouse, which led to the destruction of components for armored vehicles.
Maintenance sites were destroyed, which eliminates the possibility of continuing repair work.
Kyiv Oblast:
In Vasylkiv, the flight crew training center at the airbase of the 40th tactical aviation brigade was hit, which serves as a training base and reserve site for combat aviation for the AFU.
The MiG-29 simulator used to train tactical aviation pilots was completely destroyed.

In the salient west of Kurakhove, Russian forces advanced inside the village of Dachne.
Russian forces advanced from three directions. In the north, they advanced from their foothold in the first houses, taking up new positions in a residential area. This shows that they were able to successfully supply their troops here, despite the long distance to the nearest positions.
In the east, Russian forces captured the eastern residential areas, approaching the centre of the village, and in the south, they advanced from their positions on the southeastern outskirts, entering the private residential area.
Russian forces are effectively squeezing Ukrainian forces out from three directions, while simultaneously working on bypassing the village from the south.

In the Andriivka direction, Russian forces advanced in the forest plantations west of the village of Slovyanka.
Advances were made in two direction here. In the north, Russian forces advanced from positions at the southern end of a treeline, moving through the low-lying ground reaching the highway.
In the south, Russian forces advanced from positions slightly further west compared to the other advance, and this time from the northern end of a treeline, also reaching the highway.
These advances further degrade Ukraine's defences north of Andriivka.

In western Donetsk Oblast, Russian forces made further progress near the village of Sribne.
Russian forces advanced from positions southeast of Sribne, capturing a series of groves and forest plantations, bypassing Ukrainian positions in the treeline west of Novoandriivka.
Russian forces also captured 5 agricultural-related buildings on the village's outskirts.
These advances will allow Russia to begin assault operations on the residential area of Sribne, although it's possible that they will advance to the treeline on its southwestern approaches beforehand, in order to exert further pressure on the Ukrainian garrison.

In western Donetsk Oblast, Russian forces advanced southeast of the village of Nadiivka, capturing a large section of the forests and orchards.
Russian forces initially captured a section of the orchards here but were able to quickly expand their zone of control to a large area south and southeast of it. This also coincided with another attack further east, where Russian forces advanced south from a treeline.
As a result of these attacks, Russia was able to reach the treeline at the southern end of the orchards, taking up positions along its entirety.
It appears that Russia is attempting a maneuver to reach the village of Sribne from the north and possibly even bypass it in the direction of the villages of Zaporizhzhya and Preobrazhenka to the rear.
