In the salient west of Kurakhove, Russian forces continued their advance downhill from the tactical heights, clearing a large area of Ukrainian treeline positions.

Russian forces, along with sappers, advanced west, capturing two treelines west of the Dachne Graveyard, before moving south along a perpendicular treeline to the rear of the Ukrainian positions to the east. This forced Ukrainian troops to withdraw from these positions, westwards, to safer positions east of the village of Zelenivka, allowing for Russian forces to advance west, capturing those positions.

This coincides with a Russian push north across the gulley to the west of this advance, and lines up with my previous belief that Ukrainian manpower levels was low in those treelines. The main defences of the salient appear to be about to fall, which could result in an attempted withdrawal through the bottleneck in Ulaky and Kostyantynopil.

In the Komar direction, Russian forces continued to make progress west of Velyka Novosilka, taking up new treeline positions.

Russian forces advanced in two directions here. In the west, the main advance took place with Russian forces advancing north along a treeline, before crossing the Velyka Novosilka - Hulyaipole road, and establishing control over another treeline to the north.

A smaller advance was made to the east, where Russian forces advanced from positions south of the same road, capturing a small treeline to the north, reaching the intersection with a perpendicular treeline.

2 Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers are redeploying from Olenya Air Base in Murmansk Oblast to Engels-2 Air Base in Saratov Oblast to be equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles.

The European Parliament has declared that the new Georgian government led by the “Georgian Dream” party, is illegitimate.

The resolution that was adopted does not recognise the current government, including the new president, Mikheil Kavelashvili. Instead, they will continue to recognise Salome Zourabichvili as the president of Georgia.

In the South Kivu Province of DR Congo, the Congolese Armed Forces (FADRC) have launched a series of counterattacks against the advancing M23 rebels, in an attempt to stem their advance to the South Kivu capital of Bukava.

In the south, FADRC forces advanced north along the N2 highway, capturing the centre of the town of Katana. Clashes are now ongoing in the town's northern neighbourhoods.

However, the main and most successful advance occurred to the north, where FADRC forces launched an attack on M23's western flank, breaking through in a spearhead movement, capturing a section of the countryside there.

While it appears that M23 retains control over the N2 highway here which resupplies their forces further south, if it is cut (which could happen very soon if FADRC forces don't lose momentum), M23 forces further south will be operationally encircled.

Russian forces continue to advance in the western part of the Kursk Salient, capturing new positions in the village of Sverdlikovo.

After securing the northwestern part of the village, Russian forces began moving south down the western street and captured new positions at its southern end. There are still a few houses in the grey zone near the international border, however they will likely be cleared soon, if they haven't been already.

Correction of the frontline in favour of Ukraine:

At some point, in the northern part of the Kursk Salient, Ukrainian forces counterattacked from their positions in the forests northwest of the village of Pravda, and recaptured the village of Kositsa.

The AFU took up new positions in the village, pushing Russian forces to the neighbouring village of Russkoe Porochnoe.

Russian forces continue to make slow, incremental progress in the city of Vovchansk, taking up new positions in the ruins of the northeastern neighbourhoods.

The main advanced occurred in the east, with Russian forces advanced to an intersection, and down an adjacent street, taking up positions in the houses there.

The frontline was also corrected closer to the city centre, with Russian forces capturing two more residential blocks there.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces continue to make progress in the village of Yampolivka, capturing most of the settlement.

Russian forces advanced from their foothold in the northern houses of the village, and moved south down the main road, capturing the central and part of the southern sections of the village.

They also captured the rest of the forests on the eastern bank of the Zherebets River.

In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian forces counterattacked and pushed the Russians out of Novospaske.

Ukrainian forces from Azov advanced from their positions in the central part of the village, clearing the Russian positions in the eastern residential area, eliminating their bridgehead on the western bank of the Kryvyi Torets River.

On the eastern flank of Pokrovsk, Russian forces have made new advances, capturing the village of Zelene Pole.

Russian forces advanced in two main areas. In the north, they advanced from their positions on the eastern side of the gulley, and moved northwest, into Zelene Pole, capturing it. They also advanced along the southern bank of the reservoir, and capturing treeline positions there.

The other area where they advanced was to the south, where Russian forces captured new positions in 4 separate treelines and are beginning to level out the frontline towards the east,

It's likely that Russia wants to attack the village of Tarasivka from two directions, hence why they chose to attack Zelene Pole now, shortly after the nearby village of Vodyane Druhe was captured.
