Just had a debate with my very pro-Zelensky uncle on Ukraine and the war. We agreed on some things, disagreed on others, but he ended it when I asked him “which Russian officials said Russia wanted to capture Kyiv in three days”

Russian forces began a new operation from Kursk Oblast, entering Sumy Oblast and seizing a village.
Russian forces advanced from positons near Nikolaevo-Darino, crossing the international border and entering the village of Zhuravka from the north. They quickly expanded their zone of control, capturing the rest of the village, taking up positions in various houses.
Ukrainian forces were forced back to the neighbouring village of Bilovody.

Correction of the frontline in favour of Russia:
At some point, Russian forces advanced and captured positions in the Toretska Mines. This appears to be before the Ukrainian infiltrations into the city.
Russian forces attacked from Krymske, and seized part of the eastern buildings. This makes it more difficult than previously known for Ukrainian forces to conduct attacks into the city.
+ ~0.09km² in favour of Russia.

In the Komar direction, Russian forces advanced and captured most of the village of Pryvilne.
They advanced from their foothold in the easternmost houses of the settlement, and moved west, clearing the central part of the village. Its possible that Ukrainian forces maintain a few positions in the westernmost buildings.
Additionally, one forest plantation was cleared on the southern outskirts of the village, and Russian forces advanced along another forest plantation to the north of the pond.
+ ~0.47km² in favour of Russia.
