Ukrainian forces conducted a series of counterattacks in and around Udachne over the past few days, recapturing a large area on the western flank of Pokrovsk.

Ukrainian forces attacked in two main areas. In the north, they pushed through southern Udachne, clearing Russian positions east of the railway station. They were able to push Russian forces out of the southern residential area, to the industrial zone in the southeast. This leaves only a small Russian presence in the northeastern residential area.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces recaptured the two treelines south of Udachne, before storming and capturing a trench stronghold just west of the Solone chalk quarry.

More and more Geran-2 drones are hitting their targets in Ukraine lately. Russia is launching more and more drones, overwhelming Ukraine's air defence, even in places like Odesa and Kyiv where air defence is the strongest in the country.

They are also targeting areas closer to the frontlines, such as troop and equipment concentrations, and likely command and control centres. This suggests that there has been an increase in Geran drone production in Russia lately, as otherwise they probably wouldn't be "wasting" these drones on targets that could just be hit with glide bombs or MLRS.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has announced that Ethiopia has significant enhanced its ability to manufacture ammunition domestically to the point where they now have the ability to export its production.

Until three years ago, Ethiopia remained dependent on imported ammunition. "This progress strengthens our national defense and contributes to broader self-reliance," Ahmed said.

This expansion aligns with the Ethiopian government’s wider strategy to enhance national defense capabilities and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers.

Ethiopia is currently fighting a conflict in the Amhara region of the country with the ethno-nationalist Fano militia. Fighting is ongoing across the Amhara region with regular clashes with government forces. Fano militants currently claim to control 80% of the region, mostly rural areas.

According to the Somali Finance Minister Bihi Imaan Egeh, in a statement to the Somali Parliament, the U.S. has cut all funding for Somalia's elite Danab special forces unit, along with billions of dollars in grants previously provided through USAID.

The Danab brigade was established with U.S. training and support to help in the fight against Al-Shabaab (AS).

Egeh warned lawmakers that the abrupt withdrawal of American financial assistance has significantly strained the Somali government’s budget.

This comes as AS conducts a major offensive in the Middle Shabelle region of the country, seizing large swaths of land, including the town of Ceelbaraf.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed that the U.S. has indeed paused all intelligence sharing with Ukraine on "the military front and the intelligence front."

Additionally, the Daily Mail citing unspecified sources reported that the U.S. has also banned the UK from sharing intelligence with Ukraine that is derived from American sources. This ban would affect the likes of the UK's GCHQ, the spy agencies and intelligence branches of the Ministry of Defence.

A Russian Geran-2 drone struck an unknown target in Sumy last night. It appears that it was already burning before this drone struck it.

Contrary to what you might think due the lack of reports, the Ukrainian Toretsk operation is continuing, with new footage confirming that small groups of Ukrainian soldiers have infiltrated 3km deep into Russian lines and took up positions at the southernmost part of the city.

Rotations are being carried out in the Zabalka district from several key positions that have been captured. These positions are only accessible by vehicle though, making it very difficult to resupply them and move in and out.

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) launched a swift operation to recapture the RSF pocket in the Sennar and Blue Nile states, which they completed without facing much resistance.

The remnants of the RSF forces likely fled to South Sudan.
