In Toretsk, Russian forces began a series of counterattacks to retake key lost positions in the city.
Russian forces advanced in two main areas. In the south, they moved from positions in front of the terykon, capturing the Shevchenka street strongpoint, before moving further southwest, and took up positions at the edge of the city.
In the north, Russian forces made more significant progress, capturing a large section of the northern neighbourhoods of Toretsk, capturing the outer terykon strongpoint, and the outskirts 1 strongpoint.

Correction of the frontline in favour of Ukraine:
At some point in the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces counterattacked in the village of Lysivka, recapturing positions there.
Ukrainian forces advanced over the Solonyi River, entering the western part of Lysivka. They then pushed deeper into the village, recapturing most of the southern part of the settlement, taking up positions in the southeastern houses.

On the western flank of Pokrovsk, Ukrainian forces conducted a series of counterattacks, recapturing a key tactical height in the area.
Ukrainian forces advanced from positions south of Udachne, and moved along a treeline, before branching off onto two others. They then began attacking the terykon, taking it under their control. This allows Ukraine to exert fire control over the surrounding areas and have increased surveillance quality.

Russian source on Vovchansk:
"The situation in Volchansk remains unchanged. Advancement in the city is impossible because there is no actual city there, soon it will be an open field due to constant bombing. The liberation of the city began in mid-May 2024, but stalled in June due to reserves arriving from all directions.
Now the liberation of the city is possible only by encircling it and then mopping it up. And given that almost all of the infantry of the "North" group is in the Kursk direction, there is simply no one to encircle and liberate anything now.
Due to the actual stop of the BD in this direction, over the last six months, UAV units have been restored to work, terrorizing Shebekino with drones 24/7.
There is hope that after the liberation of the Kursk region, the Severians will continue to liberate the Kharkov direction. But these are only versions."

A massive wave of U.S. and UK airstrikes targeted Yemen today.
Airstrikes targeted various parts of Houthi-controlled Yemen, including the Dhahyan city power station in Saada, as well as various targets in the capital, Sana'a, including the Political Security Building.
Local reports state that 39 people were killed, and 22 others injured. Power outages are also reported throughout Sana'a and Saada.
And in the past few minutes, renewed airstrikes were carried out on Sana'a. I will post more about this when more information surfaces.

U.S. military bases in Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait and Iraq have been placed on a heightened state of alert following the massive waves of airstrikes on Yemen.

Yesterday at around noon, a Ukrainian airstrike destroyed the last section of the bridge over the Konka River near the town of Oleshky, Kherson Oblast.
This will significantly complicate Russian logistics leading into the few positions that they hold beyond this bridge.

I haven't talked about Chasiv Yar in a while, so here is the information that I have gathered regarding the situation in the city.
In the city centre, forward movement has largely halted, with both sides engaging in mutual artillery shelling and FPV drone strikes. Russian forces are targeting the Ukrainian positions in the 4-story buildings in the city centre with artillery, however the continued presence of the Ukrainian soldiers there suggests that Ukraine has relatively stable logistics running into the city centre, either from the south or the west. Due to this, I have added a larger grey zone to the northwestern end of the city centre, and the roads that lead out of it. This also confirms that the massive Russian mechanised assault earlier this week was a complete failure.
Ukrainian forces were seen repelling a Russian infantry assault in the northwestern part of the city centre, suggesting a marginal Russian advance to Pryvokzalna street.
Meanwhile, Russian forces have slowly ground through Ukrainian positions in the northwestern streets and are nearly at the northwestern edge of the city. Russia previously had full control over this district, but due to a series of Ukrainian counterattacks, they lost control over a decent chunk of it. From a tactical perspective, Ukraine's counterattacks have been very successful in northwestern Chasiv Yar, not because of the land taken, but because of the losses Russia has taken in trying to recapture it. Usually, Russian forces are able to recapture lost areas quite quickly, but here it seems to be different.
Overall, while other Ukrainian defensive operations have been notoriously poor, the defence of Chasiv Yar has been excellent, making it a city that Russia has been trying to capture for nearly a year - longer than the battle of Bakhmut.
