Israeli artillery shelling is now targeting the town of Khiyam, southeastern Lebanon.

Khiyam is where the bloodiest battles of the Israeli invasion of Lebanon took place.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz following the (likely Hezbollah) rocket launches from Lebanon:

"We will not allow a recurrence of gunfire from Lebanon on Israeli towns in the Galilee."

"We promised to provide security for the towns of the Galilee, and that is exactly what will happen."

"The fate of Beirut will be the same as that of Metulla. The Lebanese government bears responsibility for any fire from its territory,"

Israeli defence minister Israel Katz: "I have instructed the Israeli army to respond to the sources of the launch from Lebanon"

A Russian source reported that Ukrainian forces are holding an active defence in the centre of the village of Gogolevka, Kursk Oblast in and around the local church.

They stated that the usage of firing positions equipped for automatic grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns is complicating movement of assault groups.

Similar tactics are being utilised in the village of Guevo, which - contrary to many reports - the Russians are yet to recapture.

Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam: "We warn against military operations on the southern border because of the risks of dragging the country for a new war. We demand the United Nations to double international pressure on Israel to withdraw from the occupied Lebanese territories."

There are unconfirmed reports of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) garrison on Tuti Island near Khartoum city centre surrendering to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).

This comes as the SAF are making rapid progress in the city centre, after they besieged the RSF there and recaptured the presidential palace.

Contrary to some reports, there are still RSF fighters in the city centre. The SAF is conducting clearing operations, with the rest of the city centre expected to come under their full control in the coming hours.

This doesn't mean the full recapture of the capital, however, as the RSF continues to maintain control over much of the southern suburbs, but with the SAF clearly on the front-foot, and a new offensive launched in the neighbouring city of Omdurman launched, the fate of the RSF in central Sudan is sealed.

Palestinian sources report that 2 people were killed from Israeli artillery shelling on the town of Al-Mughraqa, central Gaza.

The SAF has launched its assault on Khartoum International Airport.

The latest developments from Lebanon:

Israeli channel 13 reported that "The [Israeli] Chief of Staff conducted a situation assessment following the rocket fire from Lebanon."

There are reports that Israel is expected to conduct airstrikes on southern Lebanon in the near future.

Meanwhile, level three sirens are sounding at the UNFIL base in Naqoura, southwestern Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese news outlet Al-Akhbar, "Lebanese President Joseph Aoun instructed the Army Commander to implement all necessary field measures to safeguard civilians and to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident to clarify its circumstances."
