In the Yunakivka direction, Russian forces continued to advance in Sumy Oblast, and have broken into the village of Loknya.
Russian forces advanced south from their positions on the southern outskirts of the village of Basivka, and moved down the western bank of the Loknya River. They were able to enter the northern outskirts of Loknya, and seized positions in the first houses. They then pushed further south, crossing a tributary of the Loknya River and seizing positions in the next houses.
Ukrainian forces then counterattacked, recapturing positions in those houses, pushing the frontline back to the northernmost houses.

After establishing control over the northern and part of the central parts of the village, Russian forcces pushed southwest down the main road, reaching the southwestern outskirts of the village. They also advanced and captured further positions to the east in the southern part of the village.
Additionally, Russian forces captured the rest of the large forest north of Demidovka, recapturing previously lost positions there, as well as in a nearby treeline.

They advanced from their foothold in the forest south of the village of Katerynivka, and captured the rest of it. From there, they entered the southern houses of the village in multiple areas and quickly moved through the village, clearing out the positions in the rest of the houses.
Additionally, a series of forest plantations on the approaches to the village were captured, further solidifying Russia’s presence there. However, as these positions are in the low-lying ground, it may be difficult for Russia to concentrate larger numbers of troops in or near Katerynivka due to the presence of Ukrainian forces on the surrounding tactical heights.

This, along with the capture of the adjacent forests, likely occurred at least 3 weeks ago. Russian forces also advanced along a treeline, and captured various nearby positions.
Secondly, Russian forces advanced from the southern part of Yampolivka, and moved down the road to Torske. They were able to take up positions on the northern outskirts of the village of Torske, before pushing deeper into the village, taking up further positions further south towards the centre.
