Fires broke out at the Uman Air Base in Cherkasy Oblast, and at an industrial zone in Cherkasy City. Geran-2 drones were seen flying in the area and explosions were heard.

Friedrich Merz, who is set to take office as the chancellor of Germany next month, stated that Germany is willing to send Taurus long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine as long as it is jointly agreed with Germany's European partners.
He also condemned the Russian Iskander-M Ballistic missile strikes on Sumy as "a serious war crime" and said that Ukraine needs help to “get ahead” in the conflict.
The Taurus KEPD-350 long-range air-launched cruise missile has an operational range of 500km, a maximum speed of mach 0.6 - 0.95 and a 480kg warhead.
The CEO of MBDA Deutschland (one of the manufacturers of the Taurus missile) stated in 2023 that it would take 6 months to integrate them into the Su-24M, including 2 months to install the weapon and another 4 months to prepare the personnel. Experts predict that it could take between 12 and 18 months for this process to take place for F-16s.
