There's a story behind this video that's been getting around.

AVF members attended a rally in Melbourne on Saturday the 29th of January, they met a group of ex police officers also attending the rally.
They walked together and shared their stories, then something amazing happened, a lady came upto them and asked for a hug and someone captured this moment of unity between police, military and the people on camera.
It was originally posted without the knowledge that ex police were also involved, so an AVF member got in contact with the person who posted this heartwarming video and they updated it. Thank you ❤️

Update - this cannot be stressed enough.

The chat rooms and sharing should take a back seat right now, while being aware of what’s happening and sharing this information with others is great - ‘boots on the ground’ is what’s needed.

We need a physically united, non-violent presence in Canberra.
And we need it now.

We need to bring mates, to carpool, to catch the bus, the train…sell it as a “road trip”, take sick leave if working, take stress leave, get the kids looked after, even hitchhike or ride a bike…

However you can get there, with as many as you can bring with you.

Be self sufficient and prepared, help others if you can - remember to bring sleeping equipment if planning on staying, ensure you’ve adequate food and water supplies. Bring extra if possible.

When you arrive, gather together, move as a group.
Current campground location (03/02/22) is behind the National Library. Remain calm and peaceful - but make your voice heard. There may be other sites.

We’ve had reports of vehicles entering or travelling towards ACT - being targeted for visually representing flags, signage, writing, etc.

There also appears to be network issues with connectivity, speed, censoring - and potentially interference.

We ask you to record (and backup) ALL violent interactions, or suspect activity - and anything else of notice. Don’t forget to capture the powerful and beautiful moments!
