[Leaked email] (All are welcome!)
Members-Elect of the House:
Out of an abundance of caution, and a desire to conduct session as safely as possible, in partnership with the Senate, UNH, and DHHS Public Health, we are moving the Organization Day Session on 12/2 outside to the front of the Whittemore Center, (Memorial Field) where we will utilize the field space in a socially distanced manner. The high temperature for the day is 43 degrees; members are encouraged to dress comfortably for the weather.
Several members have already contacted me requesting to be excused from the session due to its being indoors; as we are moving outdoors, any member who previously requested to be excused and would like to attend is requested to please contact me as soon as possible with your preference.
Parking information remains the same as previously stated at the present time, though those parking in the handicap lot H may wish to park at the Depot Road lot (it’s essentially equidistant).
The details of the Organization Day session agenda are as follows, to give you an understanding of the timeframe:
10 am – Call the session to order
Prayer
Pledge
National Anthem
Roll Call of Membership (oral, alphabetical by county…a loud affirmative response will be necessary)
Governor and Council Arrive to Swear in membership
Ground Rules for Officer Elections
Nominations for Speaker, Election (by ballot-voting by division)
Nominations for Clerk, Sergeant-at-Arms
Joint Convention with the Senate
Nominations for Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Election
Joint Convention Rises
Adoption of Housekeeping Resolutions (HRs 1-5)
Adjourn from the session
We hope to get through the session as expeditiously and safely as possible. Those who will be speaking for nominations and the like will have microphones brought to them.
We apologize for the changing details, but we want to ensure the safety of all members who will be participating on Organization Day.
I am waiting to hear back from the Governor’s Office about the possibility of swearing members in remotely, this week (as opposed to the next Governor and Council meeting scheduled for the 16th).
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Best,
Paul C. Smith

We highly recommend getting familiar with logical fallacies in order to call people out for using them as well as so that we as individuals cease to commit them. Logical fallacies are what perpetuates senseless arguments. Be smarter than your enemy.

Moderna Requests Vaccine Authorization
Two Fridays ago Pfizer (PFE) and BioNTech (BNTX) requested emergency approval for the COVID-19 vaccine they jointly developed. Now Moderna (MRNA) is following suit. Yesterday the biotech company asked American and European regulators for authorization of its new coronavirus vaccine after it performed well in a recent trial of 30,000 participants, showing 94.1% efficacy. In the trial, 196 participants contracted COVID-19. According to the results, 185 of those participants had taken the placebo. This means only 11 received the Moderna vaccine and still contracted the coronavirus.
In terms of next steps, outside experts advising the FDA on authorization for vaccines are now expected to meet December 10th to first discuss the Pfizer-BioNTech shot. At this meeting they will vote on whether or not the FDA should give the vaccine emergency use authorization. A week later, Moderna hopes experts will also evaluate its vaccine. If the FDA does grant emergency use authorization to the vaccines, distribution could start before the end of the year. How COVID-19 Vaccines Work Both Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna are using gene-based technology that has never been licensed for use prior to the coronavirus. Using what's known as messenger RNA, scientists are able to send DNA instructions for how to generate certain proteins. Once prompted by the vaccines, human cells produce spike proteins which trigger an immune response that can help fight off the virus.
If Moderna’s vaccine is approved by the FDA, the company has said it can produce enough doses to vaccinate 10 million people. The trial also demonstrated the vaccine’s versatility. Its efficacy in people over 18 years old held consistent across races, ethnicities, and genders. Because of the vaccine’s limited initial production, healthcare workers and those on the front lines of COVID-19 will likely be the first to be vaccinated. Partnering with Grocery Stores and Pharmacies for Vaccine Distribution When the vaccines do arrive, many Americans will be able to access them through their local supermarket pharmacies. The Department of Health and Human Services has reached out to chains like Kroger (KR), Albertsons (ACI), and CVS Health (CVS) to eventually distribute the vaccines.
Those pharmacies are already getting in position. Food City, a grocery chain in the south owned by K-VA-T Food Stores, acquired 30 specialized freezers to store the vaccines, which need to be kept at a very low temperature. Other pharmacies are training staff and purchasing freezers, thermometers, and PPE in anticipation of vaccine approval. Most Americans will likely pay nothing for the vaccines, as they’ll be covered by tax dollars, health insurance, and government subsidies for the uninsured.

10am, Saturday (tomorrow) protest at 71 Hemlock Ct Newfields, NH. Bring hot chocolate, s’mores, and your grills, we will be enjoying ourselves in the public park in front of His Excellency’s house. Make sure signs are targeted: show COVID-19 mortality statistics, challenge mask efficacy, and be point out the unconstitutionality of the order. “Live Free or Die”, “Breathe Free or Die”, “We Will not Comply”, “Mask Free and Alive” are some examples. Speakers will be targeted on the issue at hand—that the mask mandate and Sununu’s orders are unconstitutional and must be rescinded.
We might have to cancel this Saturday's event. Weather looks extremely prohibitive.
