INTERNATIONAL WORKER'S DAY 2.0

Once again activists took to the streets to send communists, marxists and Soviet sympathizers a message on the 1st of May:
"Are you a communist? Then leave our streets!"

The posters are a direct response to the last few years mass vandalization of Danish streets with communist propaganda posters featuring Soviet symbolism being put up by so-called "Revolutionary Communists", urging people to organize and join them in their revolution.

As Danes and Europeans it's our responsibility to set an example and send a clear message to our people, that an opposing and different view with healthier values exists and that the foreign subversive ideology of communism will not take root here or anywhere else in Europe.

We urge our followers to be bold and show defiance: Speak out against communism and the ghost of the Soviet Union that is trying to insert itself wherever it can to gain a foothold in Europe again or see ourselves and our future generations fall into complete slavery forever.

WHAT IS THE HIKING DIVISION?

The Active Club Denmark Hiking Division is an exclusive activity group focused on outdoor activities such as hiking, survival skills and urban exploration.

Despite Denmarks size, many Danes go about their life without ever having explored the entirety of our country. We encourage our members to explore and that's why the destinations of our trips are usually cultural heritage sites of significance to our history or remote places that one otherwise wouldn't see. We do however also go on adventures abroad.

Some of our trips require fundamental knowledge of survival skills, so naturally we train ourselves in these during our trips. In order to challenge ourselves and broaden our skill set we discourage the use of things such as tents, GPS technology and tap water.

Not only do we believe our activities leads to a healthier lifestyle (which is important to us), we also believe the words of Nietzsche were true when he said that "all truly great thoughts are conceived while walking." Every journey rewards us with inspiration and we have many great talks.

We encourage all Danes to follow our example. You do not need a lot to get started, just the love of discovery, adventure and fellowship.

VALDEMARS DAY

June 15th commemorates the day Dannebrog (the flag of the Kingdom of Denmark) according to myth fell from heaven, during Valdemar the Victorious campaign against the Estonians in 1219.

Near the capital city of Tallinn, the Estonians feigned their surrender before brutally going on the assault against the Danes with a surprise attack.

The Danes came close to defeat, but when all hope seemed lost, Dannebrog miraculously fell from the heavens. The king raised the flag high above his head which filled the Danes with courage. They pushed forward and won the battle.

The flag of Denmark is the oldest national flag in the world and since its first appearance it has filled the hearts of Danes with pride and courage.
In Active Club Denmark we're immensely proud to be the descendants of such courageous ancestors. They too went through times where everything seemed hopeless, but like them we will rally under Dannebrog and revive the spirit of our nation.
