MORALE PATCH

We present you: The Active Club Denmark Hiking Division morale patch! 🛡

Produced by artisans in Europe, these PVC morale patches have been created to award those of our members who have dedicated themselves to the Waldgänger lifestyle.

The design colors are inspired by the Danish nature: Our green forests, vast sandy beaches and wild heathland.
These are some of the few locations in the modern world we shared with our ancestors and thus they present us with a reflection of the Danish soul. As for our ancestors, as for us, they shape our thoughts and feelings - when we spend time in nature, we relive an ancient blood memory.

The patches are meant for club members only and are not for sale.

VALDEMARS DAY

June 15th commemorates the day Dannebrog (the flag of the Kingdom of Denmark) according to myth fell from heaven, during Valdemar the Victorious campaign against the Estonians in 1219.

Near the capital city of Tallinn, the Estonians feigned their surrender before brutally going on the assault against the Danes with a surprise attack.

The Danes came close to defeat, but when all hope seemed lost, Dannebrog miraculously fell from the heavens. The king raised the flag high above his head which filled the Danes with courage. They pushed forward and won the battle.

The flag of Denmark is the oldest national flag in the world and since its first appearance it has filled the hearts of Danes with pride and courage.
In Active Club Denmark we're immensely proud to be the descendants of such courageous ancestors. They too went through times where everything seemed hopeless, but like them we will rally under Dannebrog and revive the spirit of our nation.

The Hiking Division spent several days hiking in the wilderness of Sweden.
These trips enhance essential skills and instincts through rationalizing resources, navigating terrain and utilizing your equipment.
More than anything though, it builds immense mental fortitude, but rewards you with beauty, serenity and confidence.
